Opiniones

We are so happy to have our parents at Ca'n Granada. The staff is welcoming, caring, and very attentive. The activities offered (yoga, tai chi, stretching, choir, crochet, memory workshop, bingo, etc.) are varied and tailored to the residents. The activity leaders are excellent. The receptionists are very welcoming. Some excursions have been suggested, such as a visit to Marineland. My parents have a quiet apartment with beautiful views of the Tramuntana mountain range. We were able to bring their armchairs, television, and pictures from home to create a home-like atmosphere. We also equipped the kitchen with their dishes, as the ones provided in the apartment are very basic. My parents, who are quite independent, have breakfast and dinner in their apartment. They do their shopping at Agromart, which is nearby, but you can also ask the residence to do their shopping at Mercadona. Our parents are happy and have improved! We're also happy and reassured to have the Quirón hospital next to the residence because they need constant medical monitoring for their conditions, in addition to the doctor and nurse at the residence. The only downside is the restaurant food, which could be tastier and not like what you'd find in hospitals or nursing homes...

Dirty, the bathrooms are full of damp and limescale... the kitchen is the cleanest thing and I don't think anyone would use it because there are no kitchenware, not a single plate or glass. However, there is a dishwasher which I'm not sure what it's for, not a single piece of soap for that price, they sell them to you at reception! It seems expensive to me just to go and sleep, especially when we're not there for fun, it's not a holiday but we have a sick person in Son Espases. I'm giving it one star because you can't give negative reviews. I hope my criticism is constructive and they do something about it.

If you're staying for a few days, I recommend bringing your own towels and basic necessities like soap, shampoo, etc. They don't provide anything in the bathroom, and towels aren't changed throughout your stay unless you pay a deposit. They don't provide a TV remote either, unless you pay a deposit... and so on. I assume kitchen utensils are also subject to deposit. Pathetic, the people who stayed there didn't do it for fun or because they were on vacation, but because of an obligation and a family member's illness... and the least they could do was change the towels... Every day they came into my room to just make the bed, not sweep or mop the floor... nothing! A relative came to stay for two days, and they charged them €75 a night, without breakfast or lunch, of course. Each meal is €12 extra, which isn't worth it. It's nursing home food, very basic and simple. There were geckos and bugs in the living room and ants in the bathroom for the entire eight days I was there. The front desk lady in the afternoon was very friendly, the only positive aspect of the entire stay.

The truth is, the cleanliness leaves much to be desired for a residence that should be spotless, even with towels and sheets changed daily. I really don't like it at all, especially since it's a residence for elderly people and should be sparkling clean. For me, it's a zero, but it's very large, especially being on the outskirts of town. The food is comparable to hospital food, but they could improve it. And again, they should hire a better cleaning company because everything is filthy. As for the kitchenware, there's hardly anything; you can't use things because they're ancient. The refrigerator and the fences are held together with tape. What a residence... I think they should give it a complete facelift.

Apartment-style accommodations, spacious, comfortable, fairly new, and well-maintained. The apartment includes a ceramic hob, very basic kitchenware, air conditioning, a TV (only a 14-inch one, with additional DTT in the one we had), a dishwasher, and a bathroom with a shower and bidet, but no washing machine or oven. Wi-Fi is only available in common areas (library, games room, and TV lounge). Parking is available for an additional charge. Located on the outskirts of Palma, very close to Son Espases Hospital. One major drawback is that, as this is a nursing home for seniors, the meal times are unbearable: breakfast from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., lunch at 1:00 p.m., and dinner at 8:00 p.m., with no breaks. The staff are excellent, friendly, and attentive.
