La Residencia Virgen de la Cabeza recibe críticas severas respecto a la calidad de la alimentación y las condiciones laborales, con denuncias sobre comidas de baja calidad para los residentes, falta de cualificación del personal de cocina y jornadas laborales excesivas, aunque también hay testimonios positivos sobre la dedicación del equipo y la gratitud de los residentes y voluntarios. Las opiniones están polarizadas entre experiencias muy negativas relacionadas con la gestión y la nutrición, y valoraciones positivas sobre la atención recibida.

The food leaves much to be desired. For example, the soup the grandparents eat is nothing but water, two packets of soup mix, and half a kilo of noodles. The fish is basically frozen, as are the chips, as well as all kinds of vegetables. The person who's cooking came in through a connection as an assistant and stayed there; she has no degree, training, or experience. And all this while the sisters eat luxurious food, like farm-raised chicken, while the elderly eat the cheapest chicken on the market, for example... and so on. I don't recommend this place at all.

I don't think it's right that they have a girl working every night from 11 to 6 and she only has one day off; that's not normal.
