A few days after the passing of Victoriana Figueroa, my mother, and with the peace of mind that comes with time, I would like to thank, on her behalf—because apart from her eternal smile, she owed a great debt of gratitude—the people she admired (Dr. Arnao, Salud, Nina, and Antonio from the cafeteria, because she was always grateful that he gave her a glass of water and a paw every day). My mother was at the Comser Residence for a year. During this time, we were in contact with the caregivers, nurses, physiotherapist, social worker, housekeeper, doctors, and everyone else, and we felt that they treated her with love. My mother passed away at 91, and I will always remember the gentle words of a caregiver as she fed her. I want to express our gratitude once again to the staff at Comser.
