La Residencia de personas mayores ABHAL presenta opiniones extremadamente divididas: mientras algunos residentes elogian sus instalaciones, jardines y variedad de actividades, la mayoría de las críticas denuncian graves deficiencias en la gestión y el trato a los mayores, incluyendo expulsiones injustificadas, falta de protocolos adecuados ante situaciones de conflicto, y un comportamiento que contrasta con los valores humanistas que declara defender. To say that the management of this center has been extremely unprofessional and indecent is an understatement. They recently expelled my parents for an incident that was never their fault, but rather caused by a resident with mental health issues who invaded their privacy. She would enter their room at various times of the day and night, using the bathroom for her needs, without any staff member taking appropriate action against her, despite knowing about her condition. This caused my 94-year-old father to become verbally agitated, which he reported to the staff, but never physically or with threats, as this center has indicated. Furthermore, they lied to us, claiming they had already contacted another nursing home for their admission, which was false. A family member called this other nursing home, and they confirmed that no contact had been made. We are grateful to this new center for taking them in; otherwise, my parents would have been left homeless. After being told they had to leave this center immediately... this is unacceptable. "On duty...it seems unbelievable that a center like this doesn't know how to deal with people of this age and follow a protocol appropriate to the circumstances, but instead immediately expels them as if they were criminals. A terrible and regrettable performance by the management...in addition, as punishment prior to expulsion, they take away the cane that he always uses to help him walk."
