Opiniones

Located in a beautiful building, it enjoys an exceptional setting in the old town, in the heart of the Cimadevilla neighborhood, and therefore very close to the center of Gijón. Near the Church of San Pedro and Campo Valdés Park, it is just a few meters from San Lorenzo Beach. Currently, the Cimadevilla Residence is managed by the Parish of San Pedro. It is a non-profit organization, and any profits are dedicated to improving its quality and services. Suitable for dependent individuals, it currently has 45 residential places. It has a total of 24 rooms, 9 of which are single and the rest double.

It is unacceptable that an elderly woman "goes missing" and it takes 24 hours to locate her.

We place so much importance on the environment and blah, blah, blah... what's important is that the elderly are well cared for, that they have good food, that when they call they are attended to quickly, that their medications are administered correctly, that they are shown affection and don't feel alone... in short, how simplistic and superficial people are... they think the environment fixes everything and some even say it seems like a good place, do you really think so?

I was a student there and they're thieves. They kept my things before I left, and when I asked for them back, all I got was insults after the whole year. Very disrespectful, it smells fishy.

The director of the care home, to put it mildly, is shameless. He runs the place like a dictator, with absolutely no patience for the residents, who are elderly people meant to be cared for, not repressed. When a resident causes any problems (at that age, unfortunately, their minds aren't what they used to be), he simply resorts to punishment or shouting. It's deplorable. I'm speaking about this specific person because I know about it firsthand; I'm not talking about the staff and workers there, who are completely innocent.
