Our experience at this center is negative. At the beginning of September, a very close relative with dementia began attending the day center part-time. After ten days, she was expelled from the center because she was a nuisance. Professionals who care for older adults should understand that each person has their own unique circumstances and adapt accordingly; that's what they're professionals for. They could also speak with the family to reach an agreement before taking such a drastic measure as expulsion. In conclusion, all people who need this service must be accommodated.

The practice of sedating residents to save on staffing costs is now commonplace in this nursing home. This isn't just an individual problem; it's a social and political one, as the public administration is responsible for safeguarding citizens' health and is failing to act. We are facing a large-scale crime against public health. And no one wants to see it. This cannot continue. A social response is required, and above all, this practice of drugging the elderly to save on labor costs and thus increase capitalist profits cannot be normalized. It must be denounced. Another related issue is that the administration of the drug is usually carried out by someone without medical training, and it's possible that, due to lack of training, workload, bad temper, mental health problems, etc., they might overdo it and cause even more harm to the elderly. Doctors who participate in this and deny it should be barred from practicing medicine. The directors who organize these attacks on public health must be brought to justice. But the administration refuses to see anything. That's why we must speak out and inform the public, so they can be held accountable. We need to organize associations of residents' families to have accurate information and collective legal capacity to file complaints, so the Public Prosecutor's Office for the Elderly intervenes, and so the public health service informs us about the necessary toxicity tests to file a complaint for the crime of drug-facilitated sexual assault and endangering public health. People who are asleep all day cannot possibly eat properly or stay well-hydrated, because without water, this is impossible. Another issue is the food that is served. There is no oversight from the administration, no inspections. And if you complain, it's even worse, because they retaliate against your defenseless family member. All they care about is collecting paychecks and receiving subsidies at the expense of our taxes. We must organize a citizens' movement to denounce all these abuses against our families, and during political elections we must challenge politicians and demand they stop claiming ignorance. STOP DRUGGING THE ELDERLY!!!

I have to give a very positive review of the center. My grandmother was in a temporary stay, and they made everything very easy for her. She was very happy with the treatment. It was also an emergency, as she was due for an operation, and they made an effort to accommodate us. She has been well and comfortable, and I think that's what's important.

My father spent some time in the hospital, and my family and I are incredibly grateful for the care he received. From Eugenia, the director, to Carlos, the supervisor, the nursing assistants, and the nurses... everyone has always been incredibly kind and dedicated. My sincere thanks to them all.

We had a very close relative at the day center from April to October, more or less, and I speak for the entire family when I say that the center's operation leaves a lot to be desired. We found the management appalling. First of all, they sell you something very nice, but then they don't deliver as they say: the parties, the excursions, personalized attention (in our case, it consisted of walking, and I walked twice in six months), because she was slow to eat, they gave her purees, and so on. Nothing they told us at first was actually done. In our case, it was a wheelchair user who had wanted to walk on a treadmill, which she did twice. They made a video that they showed us, and then they never had time to do it again. It's a disgrace to think she's being well cared for, and then they don't provide the people with the proper care due to a lack of staff, and then you realize they don't do any of the things they said, not to mention how much it costs. The only thing we can redeem is the staff, who seemed to us to be very dedicated professionals and cared for her very well, to the extent they could manage, as they were unable to provide the necessary care due to being overwhelmed with work. The staff is not to blame for the poor management of the center; quite the contrary.
