Opiniones

What I experienced with just one visit was horrifying; I can't get the images out of my mind. Don't leave any loved one there (Bo Día Castrelos) without visiting it first. It will break your heart.

One of the worst nursing homes in Vigo. I can say this from personal experience. My mother has been there and couldn't have been treated worse. Lack of hygiene, unqualified staff, terrible management, and the doctor who's almost never there is disastrous. My mother was covered in bruises and ulcers from lack of proper posture. In short, a disastrous place. Please, if you're thinking of admitting a family member there, think carefully. Everything they tell you on the first day is a lie.

The worst thing my sisters and I ever did was leave our mother in the worst place in the world. She was almost killed. A center like this should be closed. Terrible food. Anything I can say would be insufficient. Please don't leave your family there. They don't deserve an end like that.

A VERY BAD AND DISAPPOINTING PERSONAL EXPERIENCE. 1. The photos on the website do not correspond to the facility where my grandmother was admitted (Castrelos). The building is ugly, noisy, and unhygienic. There is no garden or bright spaces. 2. Questionable security and terrible management: My grandmother, who is completely blind and has advanced dementia, was admitted without restraint. She fell while getting up on her own, breaking her shoulder and suffering a head injury. She was taken to the hospital by taxi, which was an inadequate transport service, and they later tried to charge me for it. 3. The staff's treatment leaves much to be desired: - Lack of privacy for the residents. The restrooms (toilets) open directly onto the main common area (for residents and visitors), and residents are attended to with the door open, visible to everyone. - Lack of personalized attention despite the small number of residents. Having repeatedly pointed out that our grandmother is very sensitive to the cold (96 years old), on numerous visits we found her either huddled up from the cold (with the resulting cold) or covered with old, threadbare blankets that weren't hers. It was extremely difficult to contact them or our relative. The telephone is in an office with the door almost always closed. We repeatedly expressed our dissatisfaction, but the situation did not improve. WE ARE VERY RELIEF TO HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SECURE A PLACE IN ANOTHER RESIDENCE. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A DECENT FACILITY FOR YOUR ELDERLY LOVED ONES, THIS RESIDENCE IS NOT AN OPTION.
