Opiniones

On the surface, it seems like a great place for elderly people, with or without resources (they only accept women). When we go for visits, everything is seemingly perfect. However (I volunteered for a long time in the dining room, especially at dinner), the noodles were soft, overcooked, and a lot of the boiled meat was overcooked. Sometimes, the fish rice was filled with overcooked fish. Many residents left it. Chicote was supposed to come into the kitchen and investigate whether the cook knew how to cook and had a food handler's license. Personally, I wouldn't have eaten many of the things or I would have thrown them up. Also, I should mention that several people, including me (because we care about our elders, we don't ignore them, and we ignore them), have stolen jewelry (the Mother Superior knows this and does nothing). My mother's gold and coral earrings, which she'd always worn, were stolen (for 47 years, there are photos). I filed a complaint with the Civil Guard. The Mother Superior refused to look in the other residents' closets... I think she knew who I was. She wants to hide everything, as if nothing was going to happen. I moved my mother to another residence, and I was also threatened with the police for having filed a complaint. My mother refused to wear any other earrings. Because being nuns, they don't think everything is idyllic and perfect. If they can, they sweep a lot under the rug... Plus, my mother has a good salary and they kept the 14 paychecks. From the Mother Superior's brother's law office (in Madrid), I paid the first two months in cash in a sealed envelope (my mistake, not asking for a receipt, because I trusted them). For the third, in June 2016, they diverted the pay from the Social Security Institute to an account at Banco Popular, and nothing was reflected in the elderly woman's account. If my mother needed clothes, gel, an eye doctor... I paid for it with my own money, including Venoruton... If you don't sign the paperwork from day one, it doesn't go in. They don't let you read them or consult them with another lawyer. They don't lock the rooms or the closets. They prefer to occasionally give away necklaces, nonsense... Instead of installing a closed-circuit camera to find out who enters and who doesn't, and when. The monthly stay was €1,150 when my mother joined, but there was still enough left over with her allowances, which would have been very useful for her expenses. An elderly lady comes in with little pay, but that's more than made up for, much more than enough, by those who can afford it. And they all, I repeat, all eat... I would throw up. With the leftovers from poorly cooked stews, etc., everything gets ground up and dumped in. They also distribute a lot of things they collect from some stores that are already expired. It's interesting to see if they eat the same.

A welcoming place for elderly women, they accept women with or without resources. All the staff and the nuns are caring, it's very clean and well-equipped to care for anyone in need.

I find it shameful that my mother uses a wheelchair and they won't accept her when she would like to be there because I would be closer. I need help because I can't do it alone anymore. I went and they refused, and I'm still waiting for the Mother Superior to tell me yes or no. That happened in August, and I'm still waiting. Many doors are closing on me, but I never thought they would close one on me like this because of a wheelchair. For God's sake, we are people too! Or is my mother worthless in a wheelchair? She's worth more than anyone who can walk. I hope the Mother Superior will reflect on this and give me an answer.

Mother Teresa runs this place. Any help would be greatly appreciated in caring for over sixty elderly women. They receive support from the Consum company.

This care home is great. The caregivers are lovely. My mother is here too. I'm very happy because the staff and the sister treat her with so much love.
