My father-in-law was in that house of horrors for eight weeks, and it's one of the worst places imaginable. From day one, the care was terrible; they don't have enough staff, the staff is constantly changing, and they're unprofessional. The physiotherapist was practically nonexistent. The food was monotonous and meager. There were cockroaches in the room. The elderly residents were forced to sit in the same spot all day without going out to the garden or getting any fresh air, with the TV music blasting, even getting wet from wetting themselves because they wouldn't change it. It was all inhumane; they didn't deserve such a lack of care and affection. I absolutely do not recommend it.

This nursing home leaves much to be desired. There are too few staff members, and they lack experience to care for so many residents, resulting in poor treatment. When you arrive, everything seems wonderful until you realize it's not. My father was put to bed at 8:00 a.m. and wasn't woken up until around 9:00 p.m. The residents are not treated gently; there's a strong smell of urine, cockroaches in the bathroom sink, and his clothes are poorly cared for and disorganized in the closet. They don't even call to inform you if he's fallen. My father left there and was transferred to La Fe Hospital covered in wounds on his head, arms, and legs. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

The staff shortage is terrible. You practically have to cross your fingers to get someone to attend to a resident, because there are hardly any caregivers; they're all busy caring for other residents. I've counted that each caregiver is responsible for an average of 20 elderly people. I find the exploitation of these people appalling. I understand it's a vocation, but let's not take advantage of that. If only they were paid a decent wage, but I'm sure they aren't. At mealtimes, some residents might not even get a bite because the caregiver can't attend to all the elderly people under their care. And that's not even mentioning bedtime, which is a constant parade of elderly people in the elevator. Those in wheelchairs are left parked on the landings because there's only one person doing that job. I'm sure they don't even get them dressed in pajamas because there's not enough time. This is terrible. They need to value the work of the caregivers and hire more staff. This year they've raised our monthly fees, and it's not reflected in the service we're paying for, which, among other things, isn't cheap. Putting up designer lamps at the entrance won't improve what's truly important: having enough caregivers to meet the residents' needs. There aren't enough nurses every day, and the doctor is only there for a few hours a week. On weekends, only caregivers are looking after the residents.

I wanted to express my gratitude to the staff who care for my mother, a resident of the center. They treat everyone with kindness, and the elderly residents really notice. I'd also like to mention that the Social and Community Support Team (TASOC) does an amazing job with the residents, dedicating a lot of work, effort, and care to them. Thank you for everything.
