TO ALL THE STAFF OF THE “LOS VIÑEDOS” RESIDENCE FROM ROSA IRANZO GARCÍA A few years ago, the cycle of life led me from being cared for by my MOTHER to being her caregiver. It was a difficult transition for me to accept, because you realize you're getting older, and that your pillars of support are reaching the end of their lives. They were complicated decisions; you feel like you're going in blind and never know if you're making the right choice. Just as our lives are more complicated these days, caring for our elders becomes a real challenge, and we have to perform incredible feats of juggling to try and manage it. In our case, one day we decided to try a care home, because we valued the idea of her spending her last days peacefully without the hassle of moving from one place to another. We chose "Los Viñedos" because it was in our region (according to my mother, people from our region are down-to-earth and have a different kind of demeanor) and because we knew several people who had stayed there. So, as soon as the pandemic started to subside, we decided to take the plunge. At first, it was a difficult step. The lead-up and the first few days were filled with endless tears, both from me, who felt like I was abandoning her, and from her, because she felt strange and a little out of place. But this only lasted about two weeks, after which my mother began to feel at home, and I felt that it was the best thing we could have done. She began to socialize, something she hadn't done for many years. There, she found new friends who became like brothers and family to her. She started doing things for herself, playing bingo (which she loved), and many other activities that she excitedly told me about every night. For all this and much more, we want to express our sincere gratitude for the care she received every day during these almost three years that Rosa Iranzo García was with you, to all the professionals at the center who made her life and ours easier every day, making her feel at home. I want to congratulate you on your joy, your dedication, your expressions of affection, your patience, kisses, enthusiasm, great professionalism, and above all, your humanity, which gave us peace of mind and made us feel that my mom was well cared for and loved. Wherever she is, she will always be grateful. And for my part, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to accompany her as she took her last steps, to be with her in her final breaths, treating me with such affection that I've been overwhelmed, and I can never thank you enough. You are all wonderful people, each and every one of you. It's impossible for me to express this to each of you personally, so I want to make it clear in these words. I wish you all the very best, thank you so much! TERESA GÓMEZ IRANZO

These residences are fabulous. The attention and care provided by the professionals who work there is impressive; they couldn't be more attentive. They treat the residents like their own family. In short, the residents couldn't be in a more favorable environment for their physical and psychological well-being. It's a spectacular discovery; they couldn't be better. They are like one big family. Thank you all.
