One star because I can't give it less. Understaffed, unprofessional, no garden, the help buttons in the rooms don't work, the food is terrible, they don't know what's in the purees, they don't know what kind of fish they're eating, and no matter how many times you ask, they can't answer. There are no physiotherapists, no nurse, and the doctor doesn't come to the center, only speaks by phone. The contract is unclear and poorly written; they don't notify you of any potential charges to your bank account (whether it's for the pharmacy, a very bad hair salon, etc.). They charge your account without warning and without telling you what they're for. A disaster. Not recommended at all.

I'm giving it one star because I can't give it less. It's a horrible place to leave your loved ones. If you truly care about your elderly relatives, never take them to this residence.

My grandfather was in this care home for 11 days after passing away, and we've been waiting five months for a refund. It's a disgrace that they play with elderly people's money like this and steal from them. They could at least respect what's stated in the contracts, specifically clause number 11.

I want to thank all the staff at the El Carmen Residence in Las Ventas de Retamosa for their kindness, professionalism, and the loving care they showed my mother during her stay at the center (it was all outstanding). The administrative management of this care home is a disgrace. It's been three months since my father passed away, and we're still waiting for a refund for a month's stay that we paid for even though we didn't use the facilities. To this day, they're just stalling, and judging by the attitude of the director and the management company supposedly handling these matters, it seems unlikely we'll get our money back. It's nothing short of robbery!
