Opiniones

Hello, my name is Montse. My mother spent six months at the Los Cisneros nursing home in Yeles, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The reason is that on January 11th of this year, they called us at 8:11 a.m. to say they had found my mother—some caregivers said she was on the floor, others said she was in bed—and that she wasn't responding. They said they were transferring her to Toledo without giving her children time to get there, not even one of them who lives across the street. They haven't been able to explain what happened. One caregiver told me they found her in bed and she wasn't responding, and another told one of my brothers that they found her on the floor and she wasn't responding, and that's why they took her to Toledo. So they haven't told us the truth because we don't know if she fell out of bed or what happened. Not only that, they didn't call us or ask how she was or what was going on. She died the next day without them even asking us how she was. And because my brother notified the nursing home of the death, they had no choice but to offer their condolences; otherwise, they wouldn't even ask. But they were quick to check on the family's status through the nursing station's phone, which I find disrespectful and unacceptable when you've lost a loved one and they're not up to the task. Furthermore, the nursing home itself leaves much to be desired. The facilities are very old and lack basic services. They also don't allow you to see where your loved one sleeps or where they are in their room. Once, I had to go up there, and it smelled awful. Then, when you went to visit them, there was no space to be with your family member. A room with four tables and two machines that didn't work. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, and it's the worst decision I've ever made.

We wanted to thank the entire team at Los Cisneros de Yeles for the love, care, and professionalism you showed Lali during the almost four years she was with you. Caregivers, kitchen staff, nurses, management… You all contributed to Lali having an exceptional quality of life. For both Lali and us, it was the best situation we could have imagined. We saw Lali come back to life with you, regaining a vitality and happiness we never thought she would ever experience again. With you, that miracle was possible, and we will be forever grateful for that. Now that Lali has left us, we are left with the joy of remembering how happy she was with all of you, the wonderful moments we shared with her over these years thanks to you, and that is why we will never forget this experience. Thank you for everything, and may you continue to spread happiness to all the residents who come into your care. Pilar and Angel.

The facilities, which are old and run-down and lack maintenance, should be improved. The rooms don't have air conditioning, and there's a bad smell in some parts of the hallways. The air conditioning is blasting in the tiny cafeteria, which is mostly frequented by visiting family members. There are barely four tables, and everyone is crammed together. There's nowhere to sit quietly and talk without having to raise your voice or disturb those watching TV in the lounge. The rest of the facilities lack air conditioning. The lounge has one unit, but it's insufficient for the size of the room. On the positive side, the staff are friendly and welcoming. No one complains about the food either. With a little more attention to detail, and hopefully in the future, the addition of a garden or outdoor space, it would improve substantially.

My mother received so much love at this center that I will always be grateful. That is why I am writing this review. Her name was Ángela, and she passed away on May 15, 2025.
