El Centro Sociosanitario Echedo presenta graves deficiencias en su gestión y atención a los residentes, caracterizadas por negligencia del personal, falta de profesionalismo y ausencia de procedimientos adecuados en el control de medicamentos y seguimiento médico. Aunque se reconoce que la escasez de personal es un factor importante, la falta de supervisión directa y de liderazgo comprometido agrava la situación, dejando a los mayores sin recibir el cuidado que merecen.

The management of this center is absolutely shameful. I understand that staff shortages are a significant factor and that this responsibility falls on the politicians, but the fact is that a large part of the staff caring for the elderly in this center do so with negligence and a lack of professionalism. Our elderly residents are not receiving the treatment they deserve; there are forms for tracking each resident's medication and medical conditions, and they aren't being filled out…as a result, the staff on one shift don't know if their medication has been administered or not, or if their symptoms have been addressed…and when you ask, the staff on one shift blames the staff on the next. There is zero oversight and zero sense that things are being done correctly. This, coupled with the fact that they don't have a director who cares about improving the situation and ensuring that the caregivers follow procedures, is a recipe for disaster.
