An excellent residence. The staff are friendly, compassionate, and highly professional. From day one, their dedication and affection for the residents are evident, always respecting their dignity and individual needs. The team demonstrates a strong sense of vocation: they are attentive, patient, and maintain constant communication with families, which provides immense peace of mind. The care is high-quality, and the well-organized, warm, and welcoming atmosphere is palpable. Without a doubt, this is a highly recommended place for those seeking trust, excellent care, and responsible attention for their loved ones.

I booked a two-week temporary stay this August for my 89-year-old mother, who uses a wheelchair but is quite independent in many ways. I must say that upon arrival, the management and the doctor were incredibly attentive. However, the service was appalling the following days, culminating in my mother being taken to the emergency room at Juan XXIII Hospital after being given the wrong medication and suffering a fall. She was left unattended on the floor for 20 minutes without anyone coming to her aid. The worst part is that I wasn't informed of the fall until several hours later, nor of the urinary tract infection she contracted that same day until the nighttime nurse on duty called me, as the person in charge that day hadn't written down the report. When I went to the residence immediately, my mother was called a liar in front of me, told that it was a lie that she had fallen, and so on. After several attempts on my part, I finally managed to speak with management. Because of all this, as I mentioned, we ended up at the hospital where I received reports confirming that my mother had indeed suffered that fall, with all its consequences: sky-high blood pressure and completely out-of-control lab results. Back at the nursing home, everything was reported to the doctor and management, and I'm still waiting for someone to contact me. They didn't even take her vital signs or anything. They administered Captopril, knowing she's allergic, and if I hadn't been there, they would have given her Nolotil intravenously, also allergic. I don't know what would have happened, and I don't want to think about it. This same nurse, while my mother writhed in pain in bed, screaming and crying, spent an hour and fifteen minutes on a personal call on her cell phone. I went to the reception desk three times, and she wouldn't help me, until I lost my temper and forced her to hang up, shouting in the middle of the hallway. It was then that she appeared in the room with the aforementioned Nolotil. And all this for a thousand calls for 8 euros, the price of a medication that was never actually given to her. We returned two days later without the necessary documentation, without the medication I had given her upon arrival, and arriving in Barcelona without any medication to give my mother due to mismanagement (the medication is a controlled substance), since it was the weekend and no one was available to open the pharmacy. Of course, I have filed a complaint with the relevant authorities. The food is terrible, there's very little staff, and activities are practically nonexistent. What was supposed to be rest and recovery turned into a nightmare of constant running around. It's unbelievable that after the effort it took to pay for these days (an exorbitant amount, which I will certainly claim back), so that she could be cared for and I could (disconnect a little and take care of my young son), as I am an only child with a minor dependent, it turned into a nightmare. Never again. I do not recommend it. I want to thank the assistant Alex, who was incredibly kind to my mother at all times, the night nurse Andrés, and the night nurse Oti. A 10 out of 10 for them. I have to say that the nurse who didn't report to us, who insulted us, who called us liars, etc., etc., didn't even offer us an apology. (They call her the ghost nurse.) Even her own colleagues didn't have 5 minutes to check on my mother in 12 hours. It's unbelievable that this person is still working there. I must also say that on the same shift, a gentleman asked to be taken out to the terrace to get some sun, and they forgot about him. He remained on the terrace for hours and died from heatstroke. THEY FORGOT ABOUT HIM. Very nice facilities, zero cleanliness, appalling service. Don't take your elderly relatives there. Several family members asked me to please open a disciplinary file against this nurse since I was a temporary employee and wouldn't face any consequences, but they wouldn't dare leave their own elderly relatives there. It's a disgrace. Furthermore, they lied to me, saying they weren't included in the Respir Plus program, but they are. I have to file a complaint.

They have room for improvement. They manage/work well, and they can improve. Glasses and cutlery need more cleaning and supervision. There are meals where I wouldn't drink from glasses like the ones at the stands.

My father-in-law, an 86-year-old man, lives in the care home, and his daughter and I visit him every day. The facilities are very good, but the staff is insufficient and severely understaffed. If they have staff absences, they can't replace them, and where there should be three caregivers for 40-45 residents, they end up with only two, resulting in a ratio of 20 residents per caregiver. Imagine that! And it happens frequently, given the high rate of absenteeism in this sector. Many residents, if not all, say the food is inedible! Absolutely terrible! It gets worse with every change of cook! The medical service, with only one qualified doctor, is appalling! Too many residents for just one doctor. He can't be everywhere at once and should be in constant communication with the doctor assigned by Social Security, who only comes on Thursdays. The physiotherapists, nutritionists, psychologists, technical staff, and receptionist are all very competent. The cleaning could be improved; they should sometimes use more deodorizer. The level of activities is good! They regularly organize group activities with external participants, such as folk dances, choirs, and concerts. In short, the well-being of our residents should be the top priority, with less emphasis on profit maximization! The monthly fee is disproportionately high.
