La Residencia y Centro de Día “Roger de Llúria”, de Reus, es un centro para personas mayores de 65 años, de titularidad de la Secretaria d’Inclusió Social i de Promoció de l’Autonomia Personal (SISPAP) de la Generalitat de Catalunya , gestionado por Fundación Salud y Comunidad, en consorcio con el grupo Lagunduz. Este equipamiento se ha inagurado en el mes de mayo de 2012.

La Residència Roger de Llúria-Reus recibe críticas muy negativas de sus usuarios, quienes denuncian problemas graves en la gestión, falta de mantenimiento de las instalaciones, incumplimiento de dietas médicas y coordinación deficiente entre el personal. Aunque algunos residentes reconocen que hay cuidadores profesionales y atentos, prevalece el sentimiento de que la calidad asistencial no justifica el precio pagado y que la gestión irresponsable, la falta de respuesta a las quejas y el ambiente laboral deteriorado comprometen el bienestar de los mayores.

My parents have been here for 3 months and there's no way they'll bring my mother the food she can eat. Even my sister brought them a medical report of what she could eat and it's still not enough. The service is not in line with the price we pay.

The residence is neglected. There's no maintenance, the garden is a sorry sight, the curtains in the rooms are falling down—everything is very depressing. I don't see any coordination between the shifts of the caregivers, the nursing staff, etc. I don't trust that their physical and mental health is being properly cared for. Our elderly don't deserve to end their lives in a place like this. It hasn't made a good impression on me.

The center's management leaves much to be desired. No matter how much you complain, they ignore you. The director is extremely unprofessional. I can't give it less than one star, otherwise I would. The coordination is very unprofessional, and the staff are very unhappy.

I had a relative here until recently, and from what I've seen, some of the caregivers are very attentive and professional, but others are unpleasant, unfriendly, and quite rude. If they're unhappy with their work or don't enjoy it and are only there for the money, they should find something else and let people who are truly dedicated do their jobs. It's a shame because those who are helpful and good, from what I've seen, end up leaving—either due to poor management, very low wages, or bullying from their own colleagues. They should focus more on their work and less on criticizing the staff or their own colleagues, who are there to care for our elderly residents. The management has changed several times; let's hope they finally get it right.

Fortunately, after nine complaints, my mother revived after leaving the hospital and getting a place in another nursing home. The same nursing home refused to take her back. There was an inspection. They knew exactly what they were getting into. Except for a couple of cleaning staff.
