Horror!!! My father spent a month and a half at that center. Upon arrival, everything appeared well-organized and well-run. After ten days, my father fell. I understood that a person with Alzheimer's could have situations like this, and at first, I didn't think much of it. This wasn't just an isolated incident; it became a regular occurrence. They always justified it by saying it was an accident, that he had tripped over objects, that he was a very restless person and that this restlessness was a desperate need to go to the bathroom, which they claimed was a product of his dementia. When I asked if they had ruled out a urinary tract infection, only then did they run tests, which came back positive. In total, he fell seven (7) times in a month and a half. He stopped walking due to the weakness from the falls and ended up in a wheelchair. They even injured his hand when moving him because they didn't give him time to get comfortable. The last fall was from the bed. They called me to tell me they were taking him to the emergency room because he had hit his face. When I asked how it happened, the answer was, "I don't know, a mishap during the shift change." At the hospital, they asked me how he could fall out of bed! He died that night in the hospital. Like many families, I didn't choose this #Domusvi residence. It was a concession of a public place that we families request when, unfortunately, we don't have other resources to cope with complex situations. They returned his belongings to us after we complained for almost two weeks because some things were missing, his pajamas smelled of urine, and some items were never found, even though they charge 92 euros to label belongings. The dependency services of the @XuntadeGalicia should be more careful in scrutinizing which residences are granted places for which they are not prepared. I only ask that this serves as a lesson for other families and that this center please not apologize, because there is no excuse for such ineffectiveness and inefficiency.

Me llamó Ernesto Gómez.

I completely agree with Inés. The food is awful, really awful, there's constant shouting in the dining room, and plates are left overflowing. And then they boast about their menus and the three different textures—it's appalling. There's absolutely no security. In a month and a half, my parents' room was broken into three times, with people bringing them food and clothes. They've been given keys, but they can't lock it at night, which makes them very nervous. The cleaning is nonexistent; they don't even straighten the sheets. They don't have enough staff, especially on weekends. This week, a woman in a wheelchair told me that another woman, naked, broke into her room while she was there, took the call button, and emptied the closets. The next day, no one asked how she was or if she needed anything, and she didn't tell her daughter because she didn't want to upset her. It's necessary to talk about all this because it's completely dysfunctional. My father lost 4 kg in a month. And then there's the money they charge for this service. At least they should have someone in the kitchen who knows how to cook...

Let's see, why have we gone this week without rehabilitation or physical therapy? And where is the doctor? We're too many for so few staff. There are no substitutions, no way. We want decent medical staff. We're human beings, not animals on a farm. And now back to September and without staff again.

Horrible. The house of horrors. God forbid. The living conditions are deplorable, and the medical care is very poor. The food is a constant stew of leftovers. Not to mention the haughty and overbearing treatment.
