A very caring home, taking good care of residents

Our experience with this care home was deeply disappointing, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, except in the extreme case that your family member was completely incapable of understanding their surroundings. My father was in this care home for approximately one month. The lack of respect and dignity shown to my father and our family was alarming. They justified the use of restraints with the argument of supposed dementia, which no doctor later confirmed when my father was hospitalized. Despite this, these staff members, without professional nursing training, insisted on their arbitrary diagnosis (such insistence, obviously, raised suspicions since they used this diagnosis to justify all their decisions regarding my father). Yes, my father sometimes forgot things, as is natural at 85 years old. As if this weren't enough, they also violated data protection laws by disclosing confidential information (including comments from other people, taken out of context). Furthermore, the staff members were disrespectful even on the phone when we tried to get information about my father's condition. They also intimidated my father, threatening to ban visitors if he didn't obey. On several occasions, they led him to believe he wouldn't receive any visitors, which turned out to be false when my mother and other relatives went to see him. Fortunately, we managed to move him to another residence where his dignity as a human being was respected. My father is now at peace, but I hope no other family has to endure a similar experience. The only positive thing about this residence was the food, which was adequate and well-prepared. I know that those who manage this residence will likely deny every word of this review. However, I made a promise to my father: to write about what we experienced here so that his story can serve as a warning to others.
