La Residencia Santo Cristo del Nogal presenta opiniones muy polarizadas: mientras algunos usuarios destacan la calidez, atención personalizada y cuidado de detalles, la mayoría de las reseñas critican severamente la falta de personal, negligencia en la higiene y nutrición de los residentes, así como un trato inadecuado tanto hacia pacientes como hacia visitantes. Los casos de malnutrición documentados y el despido de pacientes por parte de la dirección sugieren problemas sistémicos graves que contrastan completamente con la publicidad de especialización en Alzheimer y demencia.

Shortage of staff. They don't care for the grandmothers as they should; they're always overwhelmed. Unfortunately, while visiting my grandmother, I saw many flaws in her daily hygiene. They should hire more staff to provide the care they offer when they want to fill a vacancy. It's all advantages until you face reality. In my case, we had to admit my grandmother to the hospital last Christmas due to malnutrition. They don't spend even five minutes with anyone who needs more care; at most, they offer an extra assistant for a fee. The materials we bought, like diapers, couldn't possibly go through so quickly. In short, we had to move my grandmother to another nursing home—a bad experience, no doubt. The elderly aren't cattle, Mrs. Consuelo. Thank you.

A pleasant surprise during those fragile years when support is so needed, especially in these times when families can't always personally care for their elderly loved ones. After three years in this care home with advanced Alzheimer's, my mother didn't contract COVID during the pandemic, but she did experience neglect due to a lack of stimulation and care. She ended up needing a feeding tube due to malnutrition and dehydration. Everything was a problem, from the owner to her staff. Although I was always cordial with them, they only know how to ask for things and offer little in return. Last month, I received a call from the owner of the care home inviting me to remove my mother, saying verbatim, "We can't continue caring for your mother. She's very overweight and we can't move her. You have to take her to another care home." Given this situation, I am taking my mother out on September 15th. If you want your family member with Alzheimer's to be cared for until the end of their days, this care home is not equipped in any way. They advertise themselves on their website as specialists in Alzheimer's and dementia, but this is not true. They neither know how nor have the necessary facilities, and the staff is scarce and unqualified. Thank you.
