The big question is, if you could go back, would you do it again? Would you "confine" your family member to that residence again? The answer is easy and simple... NOOOOOOO. And I don't know why it won't let you post unless you put a star because it makes you want to put an X. This residence is a complete disaster in terms of administrative management (nonexistent and unprofessional management), but if that were all... the treatment of residents is appalling, hurtful, and in some cases even humiliating on the part of some of the caregivers. The list is long... - Lack of hygiene for the residents. They aren't bathed properly daily, and the bathroom is only available once a week (on Fridays), and not even every week. - If your family member wears diapers and is immobile, they'll be left for more than 12 hours without being changed, soaked in urine. The caregivers treat this as normal. -No matter how much personal clothing you bring, the laundry service is terribly slow; they dress your relative in whatever isn't even theirs. -During my visits, and on the phone while talking to my relative, I've heard insults and rude behavior towards the residents, especially during lunchtime in the dining room to the right of the entrance. -There's no nurse or doctor on call on weekends...and if something happens...and it does...the outcome can be...unbelievable... -Some of the aides are inhumane. They don't know how to treat or have compassion for such respectable and dignified people, especially given their advanced age. THE ONLY GOOD THING IS THE FRIENDS AND COLLEAGUES MY RELATIVE HAS IN THAT "DEN"... To be continued...

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR FAMILY HERE!!! They treat the grandparents horribly, they laugh at them, they make fun of them, they shout at them, it's horrible.. they don't shower them, they give them small toilets and only when you insist on the importance of hygiene they bathe them but two days later they go back to the same thing, the staff is very deficient, they have been there for many years and they do not care how to treat people ... I really have never seen anything like it, and to tell when we went to talk to them with the social worker who apparently is the senior position there and we told her what happened then the relative was treated worse for having told it, they left the food tray in a bad way, they shouted at him, when they moved him in bed everything was fast and in that way without a minimum of affection which is what people who enter a place like this need ....

The elderly residents are subjected to abusive verbal treatment; they seem to think old people shouldn't cause trouble. My grandmother was upset with phrases like "Shut up, you were crazy..." and shortly afterward she had a heart attack (due to a spike in blood pressure, perhaps a result of the distress?). IF ANYONE READS THIS AND IS UNSURE WHERE TO TAKE THEIR LOVED ONE, DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT TAKING THEM TO THIS RESIDENCE.

The director has been terrible. My brother has been there for six weeks. And when I call her once a week, she knows nothing about my brother and says he's on her call. What does that mean? She doesn't give me any information at all. The morning staff are nice, but the director has been awful to me.

Everything is fine at this residence except for answering the phone. It's happened to me before, but today I called to speak to my mother, and when they answered and I asked if they could put me through to her, they didn't answer and left the phone off the hook for 20 minutes. I got tired of waiting and hung up. Then I kept trying a few more times, but it's impossible because they leave the phone off the hook, and it's not the first time.
