Hello. While I wrote a positive review some time ago, motivated by how well the staff treats my mother, this one is quite different. It's more of a complaint than a review. In fact, I will very likely report the matter to the authorities next week. There are two problems, and a single source for both. The first is that my mother has had a podiatry appointment scheduled since October, and just as her toenails grow, so do the excuses the Director makes about the lack of podiatrists. Excuses, yes; solutions, no. The second problem concerns pharmacy charges. It's been over two months since I told him that she had received charges from the pharmacy throughout last year. All he's told me is that he's already looking into it. Just stalling. This problem is more serious, as it's not just about the amount, but also about the responsibility of having provided bank details. Perhaps there's a reasonable explanation; I don't want to jump to conclusions. But the Director seems to have a particular interest in going to the neighboring establishment (you can probably guess which one I mean; it's easy to see since he seems to have his office there) and a complete lack of interest in running the residence... We'll see. But my patience has run out. Otherwise, the staff's attention to my mother is outstanding. It's the only thing keeping me from moving her to another residence. If this is of any use, I'm glad. Best wishes to all.

If you care about your elderly relatives, don't leave them here. It's a terrible place, the food is awful, poorly prepared, and the portions are small. If they eat well, they'll often go hungry. The staff is incredibly friendly, which is the only good thing about it. My relative stayed for a while, and thank goodness they're gone now. In just a few months, they've improved considerably since their last stay. They don't offer any activities; it's just a parking lot for seniors. I've seen comments from management claiming that the bad reviews here are pointless, but when there are so many negative ones, there must be a reason. You only have to look at the staff turnover to see it.

Once the initial shock and anxiety caused by my father's collapse on June 10th had passed, I want to express my gratitude for the swift, calm, and effective actions of the Residence staff. Their response ensured that everything turned out to be just a scare, from which he recovered fully and without any lasting effects. I am aware that an inadequate or delayed response at that time could have had a very negative impact on my father's delicate health. The prompt attention of Rosa (the first person to receive my call for help at reception), the quick actions of coordinators Ana and Sagrario, the care provided by the medical team led by Dr. Claudia Par, and the helpfulness of the director himself, Juan Pablo Rodríguez, demonstrated a level of professionalism, responsibility, and expertise that was more than evident and beyond question. I am forever grateful for your dedication and hard work.

My grandmother spent 10 days at the Geroiniva nursing home, and the experience was absolutely appalling. From the very beginning, we realized the treatment was unacceptable: the hallways constantly smelled of urine and feces, a condition that persisted throughout her stay. Despite all her clothing being marked with her name, they were putting clothes on her that clearly weren't hers. The worst part was when our primary care physician discovered there was a scabies outbreak at the nursing home, which we were never informed about. They were trying to administer a cream without prior notice or consultation. This lack of communication and transparency is unacceptable. We had to go in morning and evening to personally ensure she was well cared for, as the staff showed no interest. The care was nonexistent, and when we transferred her to another nursing home, we were informed that she was experiencing early dehydration. Furthermore, they disregarded her usual treatment and decided on their own to administer quetiapine (tranquilizers) morning and night, without proper medical authorization or supervision. In just 10 days, my grandmother's physical and cognitive deterioration was alarming: she could barely hold her head up and was drooling, something she'd never seen before. When we expressed our concerns to the director, he responded with a complete lack of empathy, saying, "People complain because we lose sweaters." This was his justification for the bad reviews. How can the suffering of elderly people and the pain of their families be minimized in this way? It's outrageous that a nursing home operates this way. I don't recommend anyone leave a loved one in this place. They deserve better.

In mid-March 2024, my mother left the care home after securing a place in a public facility. We requested a refund for the unused days of her stay that month, and despite the contract stipulating a refund if she obtained a public placement, we never received it. Even though we had a document acknowledging the debt, they denied her money—her money—to an 85-year-old woman. This speaks volumes about the center. I had meetings with the director, who admitted everything, but according to him, he couldn't do anything, and they kept my mother's more than €800. Shameful!
