They don't restrain residents with dementia in bed at night because, according to them, "that would be mistreatment." Then they're being pulled out of bed at night and having to be taken to the hospital, sometimes more than once in the same night.

This center is a disgrace. Don't take your elderly relatives there. I've been extremely dissatisfied with the treatment a family member receives at this day center for some time now. The care is absolutely deficient: they come home every day covered in urine, which demonstrates a complete lack of attention and dignity towards the people in their care. According to the contract, they should receive at least one bath per week, but they aren't even providing that. The supposed physical care or exercise simply doesn't exist. They spend the day sitting on the sofa, without any kind of stimulation or activity. The only thing that seems to matter to them is having them there, keeping to the schedule, and that's it. However, they never forget to collect payment, and to raise the fee at the beginning of the year. They're quick to do that, though. I went to complain in person at the center, but since they don't listen and everything remains the same, I'm forced to write this review so that more people know. The situation is unacceptable. I'm fed up with this situation. You can't play with the health and dignity of elderly people like this. This place isn't a day center; it's a parking lot for people. I hope this review helps prevent other families from making the mistake of trusting this place.

Unfortunately, I couldn't take care of a dear friend, and the social worker at the HULA (Dolores) decided to put her there... Today I so deeply regret not being able to help her. She was admitted on October 30, 2024, and I buried her yesterday 😭. From the moment she was admitted, she declined at an alarming rate, and I can't prove it, but from the day she escaped, I swear they were drugging her, as her gaze was vacant and she stopped being rational. I asked them to accompany me to her house to get some clothes, and they never did... and I could write so much more. So, what can I say... never admit a loved one to this place, please. Rest in peace, Sara

A terrible place to put someone. I have a relative at the day center, and aside from being treated disrespectfully, she's already escaped several times, and they say it's our fault. The worst center in Lugo.

Luckily, my grandmother has been attending the day center for "ONLY" 3 days, long enough for us to realize that the conditions and care she receives are TERRIBLE! It's shameful to see how the staff, aware of my family member's illness and condition, are unable to take her to the bathroom, change her position, or help her eat! The activities they've sold us have NOT been provided at any time, including physical therapy, a FUNDAMENTAL activity for her illness, which she has not received on ANY of these days. In our case, my grandmother entered the center at 9:30 and left at 6:30. All this time she sat on a couch watching television while falling asleep from the "excessive animation and motivation received from the staff" at the center. When we asked for an explanation of what happened, no one has taken responsibility or given us an answer. It's shameful that this is allowed to happen. Unfortunately, there are people inside without close family members who can look after them or without the ability to share what they're going through. I hope my experience helps you so you don't have to go through the same thing.
