There are two nursing homes in Mansilla de las Mulas. The one shown here is actually the Mensajeros de la Paz (Messengers of Peace) nursing home. It's located on Avenida de la Constitución. I think I've placed it correctly on the map, but the Mensajeros de la Paz nursing home is missing. As I said, it's located where this one used to be and corresponds to the photo on the map.

It's more like a prison than a care home. The owners are incredibly rude, they didn't give us a receipt, and they charged my uncle more than they quoted—800 euros extra, to be exact. The treatment leaves much to be desired. Also, my aunt and uncle's ID cards disappeared—very strange, since they never left the care home. They weren't allowed to leave unless they had visitors, who could sit in the entrance. Fridays were the only day everyone was allowed out for some fresh air. Honestly, my aunt and uncle just wanted to leave. I could go on, but you get the picture.
