Opiniones

My personal experience was very unpleasant. After being there all day, until 2:30 pm, it was very upsetting that they didn't give us any time to adjust to having a sick family member. And they threw us out of the residence like rags—very wrong of the Mother Superior. For me, it was a very negative experience.

From the outside, it looks very nice, but the treatment and conditions in which they keep the elderly are far from good. They barely take care of them; they just walk past them, and on top of that, they don't let them go out into the garden even on a nice day. They don't even have decent chairs to sit on; they're very few and hard. The room conditions are terrible; they don't even have a shower and the bed is hard. It's also worth noting that they kick them out of their rooms at 7 in the morning and don't let them return until nightfall, even to rest. The food is the same for everyone; they don't care if someone has an illness or allergies; it's the same for everyone. An elderly relative of mine had a bad experience, having to leave the nursing home because of the treatment and conditions, and on top of that, her daughter had to pay a fortune.

I didn't go inside, but the gardens and entrance are very well kept.

A dreadful care home. Elderly residents haven't seen the sun for over a year, causing, understandably, significant physical and mental decline. The official gazette (BOJA) was read to them, containing the government's updated guidelines, which allowed residents, depending on the municipality's alert level, to go outside (to garden areas) and spend one hour with a family member. This was to no avail due to their lack of knowledge and understanding of what was permitted. - They adhere to internal rules and operate according to their own interests. - When visits were allowed, it was through a window and a mosquito net, as well as the window bars themselves, where one could barely see anything (it's important to note that they continued using these methods even though everyone had been vaccinated long ago and still refused to comply with government regulations, despite receiving a certified letter from a lawyer). - They don't notify anyone in case of emergency. According to them, my grandfather had a nasty fall in his room, and they didn't notify them until eight days later due to the severe pain he was experiencing. Imagine the shock: bruises and hematomas all over his body (he was 90 years old). They provided medical reports and photos of his body from the day he was taken away in the ambulance. - Irresponsible laundry workers. At least two cell phones were thrown in the washing machine because they didn't check their pockets. The last one was paid for by the residence. Also, clothes were left in poor condition after washing. - They don't take responsibility for lost clothing (even though it's stated in the contract), and despite this, they ask you to buy clothes. My grandfather has brought clothes from other residents countless times (which is easily verifiable, since each item has an assigned number). - At the entrance or reception desk, on numerous occasions (usually in the afternoon), they put an elderly resident in charge instead of a staff member, making communication difficult. They don't do any kind of activities, games, or anything else to brighten their day. They're kept dozing in the TV room, sitting quietly. I would like to highlight, in particular, the complete lack of human interaction and incompetence of the Mother Superior (director) and Sister Nilda, as well as the poor manners of some of the staff. Finally, I want to say that this assessment, in general terms, is based on our experience. Everything is verifiable, although at the time the Vicar, or the Bishop's right-hand man (as he introduced himself), didn't want to listen much to what we had to say about everything, and specifically about my grandfather's fall. The evidence is frightening, and the scandals even more so. Far from all that, we only wanted an apology and an explanation, but the solution he and the Mother Superior proposed was to remove my grandfather from there if we didn't agree. My grandfather, unfortunately, recently passed away, so I have no intention of making anything up. As I said, this is our experience. If anyone reads it, I hope it will be helpful.

A good retirement home; the residents are well cared for, with spacious outdoor areas including parks and an aviary. The staff is very kind and welcoming. It's a religious residence, with all that entails. A good place to retire.
