Opiniones

My mother uses the Day Care Center three days a week and we are very happy, a service that helps the person to continue living in their own home. They pick her up at home and bring her back with adapted transport. Previously, she had to stay in the residence about two years ago and although it was temporary and she really wanted to go home, she was very good there. Comfortable facilities, a menu that she finds very good and balanced, serious and professional staff, individual room when she stayed, etc.

I find it shameful. I'm a student in the Nursing Assistant program, and I have a friend who did her internship at this place. I don't know where to begin, but in short, the staff's attitude toward my friend was appalling. They often blamed her for things she hadn't done, saying it in front of everyone, with the intention of humiliating her. Besides that, there were two extremes: one where the WORKERS made the STUDENT do part of their work (taking advantage of her), and another where there were times when they wouldn't let her do anything at all. I obviously don't want to include all the staff. And on top of all that, they didn't take into account my friend's situation: 6 hours of studying and 4 hours of practical training, and on top of that, she wasn't from Girona. Obviously, in this situation, you're not always punctual because of the bus situation, and they constantly brought it up with my friend. I want to emphasize the lack of respect again because it really angers me. Finally, it's also clear they're very brave to lie to the teachers at my school, saying that the student teachers (my friend and another student doing her internship there) refuse to perform hygiene procedures, among other things. Believe us, as students, we're eager to learn and do everything, because having never seen it before, it all seems new and interesting. People like this make us not want to work in the field we're studying. Thank you

It's unfortunate to see how they treat the elderly and what you don't see... There are no staff and the poor who don't have family members are often completely helpless. I speak from my own experience, I've seen it. The people who work there (not all) but most of them, are not professionals nor do they have any desire to treat the elderly well, as they deserve.. a shame after the money they pay. At night they have 1 hour. For 3 floors, imagine! Poor people, they can already shout that no one goes there... the elderly deserve much more and more paying so much money. They need to hire people with values and have the necessary skills to do this job, which is very hard and take care of them as they deserve. The truth is to report. Looking at other reviews about how wonderful it is and that it has a beautiful garden... fake! It's a cement terrace with four floors.

I loved seeing the excellent work and care, the patient attitude shown by all the staff who look after the elderly residents. They become like children, with their tantrums, escape attempts 😉😉, and so on... But they are able to calm them down and make them feel good by bringing a smile to their faces... A truly admirable job. I want to thank everyone for the treatment and care my father, Ángel Matas, received, and especially send a hug to everyone on the first floor. I also want to tell you that my father is no longer with us. It was difficult to find him the last time, and he passed away very quickly. He has been resting in peace since October 27, 2023, when he died in the residence where he had been transferred. 🕊️🕊️ From here, I want to thank you for offering me a space where we could be together, his grandchildren, my wife, and I. Sending you a big hug and a huge kiss. Thank you from the bottom of my heart 😘❤️, keep up the great work you do and your kindness towards people. You guys are amazing 💪❤️🔥!! Alejandro Matas.

The experience with this center couldn't be worse. We took my father to have his leg rehabilitated. Not only did they not rehabilitate him, but in 3 weeks he lost 6 kilos. They gave him crushed food, when he has perfect teeth and ate normally at home. They told us that he ate on his own, which was hard to believe, since we always fed him at home. I don't know who says that it has spectacular gardens... it's a courtyard with cement and 4 trees. At least the part about visits, maybe others enjoy the gardens. They don't have air conditioning, only in the reception, or fans. Imagine the summer that our grandparents spend inside there... The treatment of the caregivers, I think, was good, but the conditions of the center leave a lot to be desired. From the first day, they left him in a wheelchair all morning, which with his bad leg, he must have suffered a lot. He is diabetic, and at home he was totally controlled, there, they only had to put him on LANTUS, which at home, he very rarely needed. When we went to see him, he was always sleepy, we still don't know the reason... We took him out of there, even though we had 3 months paid by social security, we would never recommend a center like this. So 1 star, because I can't give it less.
