The location is beautiful. It's close to the city center but also feels a bit out of it. The residence is very pleasant inside, with lovely outdoor spaces designed for the residents. The staff is incredibly kind and friendly. Everything is clean and well-maintained. The food is generally very well prepared. If I had to find fault with anything, the only thing that comes to mind is that it would be helpful to have a few more caregivers. The residents would appreciate it, as they can't dedicate more time to them than they have to cover their basic needs. Furthermore, during peak hours, they are so stressed that it's amazing they don't have more accidents and incidents. I think all the staff are wonderful, but I have to highlight those caregivers who give our loved ones the affection and closeness that we, as families, cannot provide.

It is a real shame that the well-being of the people who have built this land is being left in the hands of subcontractors by the provincial council; with all that this implies.

What's happening at this nursing home is shameful. The residents are neglected, as they don't clean for them. Furthermore, on the occasions I've been present, I've heard comments from the caregivers mocking the elderly. (What do they do when we're not there?) The caregivers don't care about the needs of the elderly, as they don't take them to the bathroom when they need it. It's regrettable that when they are most vulnerable and need the most affection, they are treated in a humiliating manner. Do not bring your loved ones to this nursing home, as they deserve the treatment they will never receive at this nursing home.

The care provided by the center is appalling, especially by the management and social worker. Knowing the family is at odds, they promise updates on admissions and patient well-being, but they fail to deliver. Family members always find out through third parties or on the street. Important decisions, like sedation, are made with only one family member present, without consulting any other close relatives. You arrive at the center to visit your loved one and find they're not in the bed, in the room, in the lounge, or even at the center. The caregivers inform you that your family member has passed away. Where is the center that promised these notifications? Twenty days have passed since our family member's death, and we're still waiting for the call. These are very serious situations, and the center must be impartial in family disputes. I hope action is taken to change this situation because ours is beyond repair, but there are many families in the same predicament, and it's heartbreaking that they have to endure the same inhumanity we have.

Initially worried about taking a loved one to a care home, six months later I must say we are delighted with the care they receive, the affection shown, and how they go out of their way to make their daily lives more enjoyable. Family members are actively encouraged to participate in suggestions and ideas. Truly, a heartfelt thank you to the entire Petra Lekuona team for taking such good care of our mother, as well as all the residents, for your dedication and commitment. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
