After visiting all the care homes in Ferrol, evaluating the facilities, staff, and speaking with residents and their families, we chose Mi Casa (Edad Dorada), and it has undoubtedly been a fantastic decision. We admire the way they treat the residents with immense respect, care, and love. They listen to them as often as necessary, are attentive to each individual, and take the time to understand their personalities. When you enter Mi Casa, you feel a profound sense of peace and an unmistakable feeling of home. This is all thanks to the work of the director, Noelia Fraga, who listens, addresses every question, and facilitates solutions to all the needs that arise. We would also like to highlight the work and dedication of people like Ángeles, Adriana, Carol, María Nieves, Gloria, Vanessa, and all the nursing and support staff, as well as Manuel from the maintenance department. They are all highly professional individuals who always try to resolve the residents' problems, big or small, making their lives much more pleasant. Three years later, we have no doubt that we would choose Mi Casa again as an ideal place where residents and professionals form an extraordinary community.

My father has been in this residence for 13 years. I know he's in the best hands in the Ferrol region when it comes to geriatric care. A 10 out of 10 for the nursing staff, receptionists, caregivers, and activity coordinator... for their compassion and professionalism. My sincere gratitude and congratulations on their excellent work.

Today marks one month and four days since my mother, Elena Díaz (Tita), passed away. She spent her last three months at this nursing home. Unfortunately, it was a very short time for her to be part of this wonderful family, but I will always remember all the love she received there, from both the staff and her colleagues. We had wonderful times and will always be grateful for the affection we received every day. We would have liked to spend much more time with everyone. I want to send a huge kiss to all of you and thank you for the love, the kind words, and those hugs that are so heartwarming. You can all be proud of the work you do with the grandparents; you are a great home.

I would never put a mother and father in a center! Furthermore, the euphemistic "residences" are too expensive for the shabby services they offer, and the treatment given by the workers, "salaried", is not vocational (with compassionate and humane exceptions, of course) The food: terrible! (repeated complaints from family members and residents); it is not cooked with "love", and there is no QUALITY. Lack of cleaning in the rooms and toilets (dust and dirt) Finally!, ... The best: a garden, not taken care of. THE BUSINESS OF THE RESIDENCES (with our old people) Mrs. director, first of all, I would like to point out that I am starting my review with an opinion, clearly personal, with a "personal" verification of what was expressed; not out of "anger", as you speculate. I freely express, and, of course, subjectively, my priorities in life. No one questions the personal decision - which is not "induced" - of the residents and "solvent" people - to settle in the center. You should not feel "attacked" when no one attacks you, that is, react affronted. Do not take it for granted, believe, or think that the people we review, intend to annoy without further ado. It is necessary to admit - and recognize, sometimes ( a healthy exercise in introspection ) - the criticisms or observations of others, since, I do not speak for the sake of speaking either, and I know; I know the experiences of other residents and family members, who also observed like me, the same lack of cleanliness in some rooms, and the poor quality of the food (including the bread ). Let's be constructive in collecting observations to continue improving, for the sake of our elderly. Thank you very much, and cordial and affectionate greetings, also to you. ☺️

My mother has been at this residence for years, and we love it. The entire staff is kind, caring, and always attentive to every detail. Not only in meeting basic needs, but also in making the place a true home for her. Communication between the residence and the family is completely satisfactory; we talk about it if we have the slightest problem. I couldn't wish for a better place for her.
