Opiniones

At the Alborada day center (not the residence) in Torrelave, they treat people with contempt. For them, they're just numbers, not people. Making someone cry after a stroke is the most despicable thing they can do. The only reason I haven't changed centers is because my father, being a wonderful person, puts up with everything. But there are some things that can't be allowed or forgiven. They're people, not numbers, as they say. They're only interested in getting paid. Treating people well isn't something they want. They don't want me to talk to them, and I'm not going to talk to them. But another act of contempt like today's—and I'm speaking directly to social services, which, as a paying employee, I also have the right to protest wherever necessary—is unacceptable. How they treat their own mothers might not hurt them, but they don't want me to call mine or anything because they see that they do whatever they want with my father, and it's much harder for them to do this to someone with a stroke. It hurts, but when it's your mother, it hurts much more. I'm not going to call, and they don't want me to talk to them. I'm not going to talk, but if I have to speak to an inspector sometime, I will. This time I'll let it go because For my mother I'm willing to end up in jail. I'll do anything for my family, even if it means I end up in jail.

Thanks to the assistants who cared for my grandmother, and especially to Monica, thanks to whom we were able to be with her at the last minute. The care provided by the management, the social worker (superb, to say the least), and some of the reception staff, who I don't know what they think they are, was terrible...

My father was there for several years, and it was awful; we had to go every day to keep an eye on things... Now I find out that the public prosecutor's office is opening an investigation into the Alborada nursing home for alleged mistreatment of the poor elderly residents. I don't know why, but I'm not surprised... I hope that if it's true, they pay dearly for it.

The way they treat the elderly is shameful... I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I hope the caregivers don't treat their parents like that... I hope justice is served.

It has a café with very competitive prices and good service. They also have a varied menu and take orders.
