La Residencia de mayores San Martín de Porres presenta opiniones muy polarizadas: mientras algunos residentes y familias destacan las instalaciones espaciosas, limpias y el servicio profesional y excelente, otros reportan graves problemas de comunicación con familias, falta de vigilancia que resultó en accidentes graves (caídas, deshidratación) y políticas restrictivas de visitas que afectan especialmente a familiares que viven en el extranjero. Estas discrepancias sugieren inconsistencias significativas en la calidad de cuidado y atención al residente.

My mother was in that residence and the experience was very negative. My mother had breast cancer and they didn't tell us, neither family members nor doctors, anything. We found out one day (it didn't occur to us to bring her clothes up beforehand). Another time we took her to the hospital for severe dehydration, with kidney paralysis, another time she broke her femur when she fell from the crane.

It is outrageous that visits are cut off on holidays, which is when we, the family members who live abroad, can usually travel, and even more outrageous that we find out by chance the day before when we have changed shifts to be able to travel on a certain day.
