Opiniones

Besides being completely unsuitable for a care home, with narrow doorways for wheelchairs, a cold entrance hall where they rest, no TV, and no place to play cards, etc., the residents are neglected and ignored except when family members visit. It's a disaster. To top it all off, we paid for two weeks for only six days because we took my father out due to our dissatisfaction. Some of his clothes went missing, and on top of overpaying, we had a €1500 deposit that we had to claim three times. They returned it a month late and only after much insistence. The director takes the blame for all the problems because the manager refuses to take responsibility.

I'm a relative of someone currently in a care home, and I have to say that when I visit her daily, many days her diaper, pants, shirt, and t-shirt are soaked. I have to take her to her room to change her clothes completely. She's someone who needs assistance going to the bathroom, and what the caregivers do is put it off so they don't have to go with her, leaving her to wet herself. Besides not changing her clothes and diaper and leaving her soaked, they wait for a relative to come and change her.

My grandmother was there, and I always noticed a very warm and caring atmosphere created by the staff. I want to take this opportunity to commend the physiotherapist's work, because she arrived in a wheelchair and was only just getting around with a walker. She loved the food and even boasted about having seconds. She also gave me many handmade gifts. It was the right decision to take her to this residence because of the happiness she brought us at all times.

There's been a lot of staff turnover, a lack of qualified personnel, and a lack of hygiene, care, and empathy. I don't know if my grandfather would still be here if the first signs of a stroke had been addressed, but there's nothing more we can do now. Our family feels immense sorrow and regret for having brought him to this facility. I find it outrageous that the positive comments are coming from the staff, but it's even more twisted that family members or partners of the staff are commenting on a place they don't know how it operates, and for their sake, I hope they never have to.

Two weeks ago I wrote a one-star review because of the food—well, more accurately, because of the cook, as she made it inedible. What I didn't know was that this woman was covering for someone on vacation. The real cook, the one who's always there, is wonderful. My uncle is delighted with her and really enjoys her meals, even though they're special because he's diabetic.
