Opiniones

A terrible experience. They always offer you a place because they have free beds, or they refer you from the Muskiz nursing home because they're family. The consequences that several of our relatives have suffered for having trusted Las Magnolias have been very painful. In the middle of winter, the elderly sleep without pants, they suffer constant gastroenteritis, and they disregard the less mobile people.

Sad and disappointed. I don't think the director is aware of what's going on around him. I've also seen elderly residents sleeping without pajama bottoms (how sad), so they can be changed quickly if necessary. There's only one assistant to supervise both rooms. Consequently, if he has to change an elderly person's diaper, being alone, he either leaves it dripping wet or leaves both rooms unsupervised. The chapel only exists in photographs. They use it for storage. If you need rehabilitation in the gym, you have to pay an external physiotherapist, who is expensive and travel expenses apply. If an elderly person repeatedly asks for water or needs to be taken to the bathroom (the elderly often need to urinate), they are "punished" by being taken to the yellow room (where the people with mental health issues are) because it's considered a nuisance. On many occasions, I found my relative with their head hanging down, eyes closed, and too weak to open them. I wonder: "Medication?" It takes a great effort to climb up to Meñakabarrena, given how far it is, and on top of that, there's the uncertainty of how you'll see your loved one when you arrive. In short, I wouldn't go, nor would I take any loved one, after this sad and painful experience. I repeat, I think the director only knows what he's told; he must be completely clueless. It's a shame :(

My aunt lives in the building across the street and claims that in the ward downstairs, for example, there are 23 residents for just one assistant. SHAMEFUL AND INHUMAN. There are almost 80 residents for just 4 assistants; you can imagine the care the residents receive... I hate that the person in charge of the residence, if he were to lie, would say how many residents and how many assistants there are. At night, there's only one person left for the entire residence. Imagine if someone falls and another person falls or whatever... Let them say this is also a lie... They're shameless, and if you tell what's happening, you run the risk of being reported or threatened. I encourage family members to come and stand in front of the windows and see how there are only 4 assistants for almost 80 people. In the room below there is only 1 person to take care of 23 elderly people....

I want to highlight the excellent work and care they give to the elderly residents. Whenever I've needed anything from the staff at the care home, they've always been there to help.
