That nursing home, run by Manuela, is the worst thing I've ever seen! Manuela lived there 24/7. Her only concern was making the meals. The elderly residents weren't cared for at all. Manuela thought she was so capable that she acted as a caregiver day and night, nurse, sewed, ironed, cooked... She did EVERYTHING! It was freezing cold there. And in the summer, she'd take the elderly residents out in the sun even when it was 40°C or higher. But all Manuela wanted was to get paid. And she got paid well! A doctor never came to see anyone. According to her, she called a doctor herself—nobody knows who—who, based on what she told him, would prescribe something (usually a broad-spectrum antibiotic). A nurse never came either. I could go on, since my mother was there and witnessed that horror firsthand. My mother passed away a little over six years ago. So, it's no surprise to me that they've closed it, and they should never let it reopen! The elderly residents were dying overnight. Of course! When they'd been there for two or three years and didn't have much time left, because then they had to make room for someone else. They died neglected and alone. Always at night.
