Hello, I've been taking my mother to the nursing home for four years with the Respir Plus service, and I speak from personal experience. I should point out that my mother has dementia and lives on the second floor and sometimes sleeps on the third. I hope to take her there next year. I'm very demanding when it comes to my mother's care. The management team knows this, and whenever I've seen something that could be corrected, they've done so. I admit I'm very strict about this, and despite this, I've discussed it with the various changes in management. Joana, now the director, has always been honest with me, explaining what I've said. My mother has been fine. She's back home with mobility due to the physiotherapists' work. The activities are fun and beneficial for each resident's cognitive state, as they try to promote their mental and physical abilities in the same group activities. There are always things that can be improved, I've talked about it, but the most important thing for me is that she's been well cared for, even though she missed her home and the people around her, which is normal. Just a nice place. To improve my mother's quality of life, she was admitted on a trial basis, and she's miraculously alive. The caregivers are uncaring and unprofessional. They treated her like furniture, and there was no affection or proper nursing care... Falls without even proper follow-up... A disgrace. Luckily, I hired a backup nurse, and we saved her by taking her to the emergency room three times... They would have let her die otherwise... I filed a complaint, and they still haven't even answered. When I posted this review, they DID call me to talk and waste my time, apologizing and saying they'd already fired many "non-workers." They didn't even want to sign a complaint form. There was no mercy for my mother; it was just nonsense and neglect. A disgrace. My mother already said it's a place that's only good if you're well and ignore the "witches" there and don't let them affect you. She's survived it all, and her greatest fear is hearing the name of the place she begs never to return to... Her greatest fear is traumatized, and home is still her guaranteed place. Elderly terror with such "inhuman" places and workers.
