The fruit is very hard, the food is cold (it's brought from Can Torras), there aren't enough armchairs for everyone, and there are 12 elderly residents to wash and 1 monitor.

I've experienced two very different periods at this care home. When my mother passed away four years ago, this place was very, very special! From the director at the time to the support staff, even the young man who filled the machine! Every single one of them was full of love and respect, they took outstanding care of the residents, and there was a palpable sense of joy and deep affection. Back then, the place had a very special character; it was fantastic. I wrote them a heartfelt thank-you note. However, with my mother-in-law... Unfortunately, now our elderly residents are just numbers, pure and simple business. They are cared for, yes, and clean, but they barely pass muster. In seven months, I've never seen the director (I don't even know who they are), the social worker has only been here a couple of times (during admissions), I don't even know the doctor (I only called to inform her of her death), and so on. Only a few people (I could count them on one hand) have been up to the task. Just after she passed away, they asked me to come and collect her body urgently because it would soon start to stink, just like that... 😳 They told me to come up and collect her things (with her still in bed, we couldn't bring ourselves to do it). We asked them to come back a few days later and told them we would probably donate all her clothes, but that we needed to see what was going on. Well, barely four days later we arrived and surprise! Her room was empty and they had donated EVERYTHING!! Only the chair, four photos, and a toiletry bag were in a garbage bag. I was only able to recover two or three things... all of this showed a complete lack of sensitivity, humanity, and respect. Because of all this, and with nothing, or very little, to be grateful for, I assure you that Montseny has lost all that aura and love that made this center such a remarkable and special place. Now it's just a business. A barely passing grade. A real shame.

I can only speak highly of this residence in every way. The staff are incredibly kind and caring, always attentive to the residents' well-being. The food is very good, and the cleanliness of both the common areas and the rooms is excellent. My mother improved significantly during her stay there. I have nothing but praise for El Montseny.

My mother has been living here for almost two years. The workers are their best asset due to their character and the way they treat the residents. The area for improvement is the kitchen: they do NOT have their own kitchen and they have catering and this means that the food is often very poor.
