Very bad from the first day my brother entered, mistreated. He broke his hip and they only notified us after he'd already had surgery. They didn't do any rehabilitation for him; he never walked again. They admitted him to the San Boy hospital with a urinary tract infection, kidney failure (chronic renal insufficiency), fever, and heart disease, and they discharged him in the same condition he arrived in. They didn't care about his meals; he got thinner and more malnourished every day. They left him in bed uncovered and didn't monitor him. It's a shame his last days were so bad, with him and the family being emotionally abused. He entered the foundation in good condition and left in a coffin. They didn't tell us he had died until the next day. We're not going to let this go. We're going to file a complaint. Life means very little to them, but to us, their family means a lot. Don't take your relatives to that foundation. They didn't inform us of anything; we always had to ask the foundation. We felt emotionally abused. And the staff there were all terrible, except for the social worker, Maria Prieto.

We call our relative and he tells us that he can't get up, that he's recovering and can't even move. What a shame!

They don't deserve even one star. This review is to warn people considering placing their loved ones in this care home to think twice before doing so. My sister, due to immobility, hadn't been able to walk for some time and was in a wheelchair. We took her to this care home because it was the only option available to us, as we couldn't care for her ourselves. She had been there for about three months when she contracted a urinary tract infection. She complained of kidney pain for 10 days, but they ignored her to the point that the infection spread to her kidneys and from there to her bloodstream, causing septic shock and ultimately, her death. She was 66 years old and had no serious underlying health conditions. We are taking action because this situation cannot be left unresolved. I find this very concerning. Dignified care and treatment are fundamental to guaranteeing the quality of life of patients, and this is something they completely disregard and neglect. We are going to take steps to see if we can get an inspection so that these facilities with their unqualified staff will finally be shut down. Carme Villegas

June 25, 2025… we received a call from the nursing home informing us that my 66-year-old sister had been taken to the hospital in critical condition… a few hours later, she passed away… diagnosed with sepsis, caused by a urinary tract infection that could have been resolved with a simple antibiotic… it was ignored and left untreated until the infection spread to her kidneys and then to her bloodstream… causing her death… in a state of shock because she had been in good health, we called the doctor and the nursing home manager, and they had no words to justify what happened… according to them, they hadn't realized she had a urinary tract infection. She complained of kidney pain and was ignored. Medical negligence and malpractice by underqualified staff. We are going to file a complaint with the Social Services Inspectorate and request an administrative investigation and inspection.

We would like to express our gratitude for the care our father received from the nursing staff, assistants, and Dr. Plaza. We appreciate the information provided at all times, both by phone and in person. We also thank the center's management, Gerardo and Dalila, for their help when we needed it most, with complete transparency and empathy. We are forever grateful. (Residence in Vallirana.)
