A care home that leaves much to be desired. My grandmother entered on December 29th, walking and independent. In the last two weeks, she was completely drowsy from the medication, unable to even speak, which is why she fell and hit her head four times in the last two weeks. Last Thursday, we had a meeting with the doctor, nurse, and social worker to establish guidelines. On Saturday, she was somewhat more lucid and told us that her lower back hurt. We asked the nurse, and she assured us that she didn't have bedsores, just a small redness that had been treated. On Monday, she was admitted for heart failure, and the nurses at the Inca hospital told us that she was completely covered in severe bedsores. She passed away before we could move her to another care home, but I can assure you that I would never recommend it. She was completely covered in bruises from the falls, which were never reported to emergency services (061) as per protocol. She had two horrific head injuries. Lack of staff, protocols, care, and 2700 euros a month for this.

I only have words of gratitude. The human quality and treatment of the residents were unbeatable; they were caring. My mother, despite her advanced dementia and high dependency, was very well cared for and treated with great affection. When the end of her life arrived, she was in palliative care and under sedation for four days. They treated us with great kindness during the final stages of her bereavement and allowed us to be with her until the very end. They were very caring. Many staff members and residents came to say goodbye. I have nothing but praise for the doctor, nurses, and staff. I have nothing but good things to say and immense gratitude. I recommend it 100%.
