My mother lived in this nursing home for several years, and I can only express my deepest gratitude. She always received humane, respectful, and loving treatment from all the staff. She was cared for with professionalism and dignity, and during the most difficult times, we felt supported as a family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Very disappointed with this nursing home. The treatment is quite cold from almost the entire staff. The atmosphere is very sad and depressing. They are understaffed; they are rushing to care for so many elderly people... They don't meet their needs; there have been times when they force them to urinate or defecate in their diapers because they don't have time to care for them, which causes them to lose that reflex, in addition to being humiliating. The elderly ring the bell or shout because they don't come when they need to go to the bathroom, and they can wait up to 45 minutes or more to be seen. After showering, sometimes with cold water, their hair isn't even dried. The advertised physiotherapy and hairdressing services are paid, which, given what they charge, could easily be free. Everything has to be paid separately, in addition to what you pay each month... toiletries, medicines, taking the elderly to the hospital, everything!!! The food is not of acceptable quality. Breakfast takes so long to be served from 8 a.m. that they get out of bed whether they want it or not, and sometimes it's served at 11:00 a.m., almost at the same time as lunch, which is at 1:00 p.m. The doctor, when she's there, takes a long time to see the residents and doesn't follow up as she should. She takes vacation time and they don't hire a substitute doctor. Many of the women who "care for the elderly" are interns, so the service isn't commensurate with what you pay for and what you expect from a nursing home. You talk to the director about these and other problems, and she seems unfamiliar with the running of her own nursing home. She doesn't take any interest or empathy, and complaints fall on deaf ears, always the same, and nothing changes there... what a truly deplorable and inhumane disappointment!

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the staff on the second floor and to everyone who had contact with our mother, Berta, for the care and attention she received during her time as a resident. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

The third floor of the Eliseo nursing home in Gijón is staffed by seven wonderful caregivers who look after the residents with the utmost care and attention. They are true guardian angels for us elderly residents. Thank you for your dedication and patience.
