The worst place to leave a loved one. We had to take her out after only a month. You CANNOT leave medication on the table for people with dementia at mealtimes for them to take on their own, especially when there are four other people at the table, because, I must remind you, they have dementia and will end up switching their pills or not taking them at all (I saw it myself). I also saw her wet all over her shoes on several occasions. And the last straw was the day they called me at 3 a.m. to tell me my mother had disappeared from the residence. Every patrol car from the National and Local Police was searching for her all over Teruel. When I arrived at the residence from Valencia, a National Police officer told me that she wasn't the first person to escape (which shows how tightly they control the situation), but at night, with the entire residence fenced in and the gate locked, it was very strange and she had to be inside. In the end, my mother was sleeping peacefully two rooms away from her own (with her dementia, she went out into the hallway, and since all the doors and rooms looked the same, she got confused and went into the first empty one she saw), and the nursing home staff couldn't find her until the National Police searched the rooms one by one. We took her out of there because it was the worst place she could have been. Think about it carefully and thoroughly, because we took her there thinking it was the best thing for her, and it turned out to be the complete opposite. And don't tell me they've fixed that already, because that's the same thing they told me when my mother was admitted, and they had already changed and put in a new director... So it's still the same...

My father has been at the Paules nursing home on San Fernando Street for a year and a half. He's very happy, although he thinks it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a little more staff. It's clear everyone is doing their best. Thanks to Fernando, Carmen, Lucía, and the entire team.

Very bad experience with my mother's short stay, 3 days in 2023. I only stopped short of reporting the management for the negligence and the treatment she received.

On March 19th, we admitted my father to this care home. He was walking well, despite his dementia and age, but he was doing well. We placed him here believing he would be well cared for, and on July 28th, I buried him. The way he arrived at the hospital, his thin body, ulcerated ankles, nails, buttocks, and other ailments, made me realize he wasn't treated as he deserved. I deeply regret this, because if I had known this outcome, I would NEVER have taken him here. Rest in peace, Dad.

A few months ago, my parents moved into this care home, where they have been very comfortable, very well cared for, and received impeccable attention. But it was only recently, following a very serious illness affecting one of them, that we were able to truly appreciate the human warmth, exceptional treatment, and immense affection shown by all the staff at the center, from the management to the most junior employee. We will always be grateful for this. L. Becerra
