We discovered O Fogar de Galán on the recommendation of a friend whose mother lived there. The reviews we had were very good, but arriving and experiencing the warmth, affection, and familiarity with which they treat the elderly exceeded all our expectations. Seeing our mother smile the moment she walked through the door, eager to return, leaving with a smile, and seeing her happy—that's something money can't buy. My father is an elderly man who needs care, and I was so surprised to discover that O Fogar do Galán is not just a day center; for him, it has also been his home. They have cared for him with tenderness and affection, providing him with laughter and friends. Everything has been made easy: the warm, family-like atmosphere, the adapted transportation, and the extended hours whenever we've needed them.
