It's a nice care home. I have a relative there, and she's very comfortable and well cared for. It's true they're a bit short-staffed, but the workers do their jobs well, at least the ones who look after my relative. Of course, nothing is perfect; visit any care home and see for yourself. You only have to go for a visit to find out. And be aware that there are some women going on TV these days spreading outrageous lies (twisting the truth and omitting facts). It's hard to know what they're after, but you can guess.

Very few staff members, two or three women for 30 elderly residents with advanced dementia. They are overwhelmed, which means the residents are dirty, poorly cared for, with diapers not being changed, and they suffer constant falls (several in a month) that are sometimes treated with four stitches there, without taking them to the hospital. My relative's wheelchair has been broken for some time and they haven't replaced it. There was an outbreak of scabies, and we were notified late and had to go to the pharmacy to buy the cream ourselves so they could apply it, as they didn't have it there. They don't provide any information. The criticism isn't directed at the staff, but at the lack of staff, and at what families or residents are charged for the care they receive. The facilities are fine, with a nice outdoor area, although as soon as it rains, there are buckets because of leaks. Some of the reception staff are very kind, but there are also some very unpleasant and unsympathetic ones. And it seems this is quite common in most nursing homes. Just today (December 15, 2025) we went to visit our relative. The wheelchair she has has been broken for a long time. Every time we visit, it is difficult to take her because one of the wheels cannot be locked. She tries to get up and the chair moves, and because we are attentive, it can be avoided, but even so, with two people, it is difficult to prevent her from falling. (Just yesterday, she had a fall at dinnertime. We understand it's difficult to supervise so many elderly people at once, and she always tries to get up; we don't blame the staff.) We mentioned the issue of the chair at reception (it wasn't one of the regular receptionists), and they responded very rudely. They wouldn't even look at us, saying that's just how it was, that they didn't have that chair for her anyway (they were sitting her in it for her afternoon snack when we left her). Besides, we do use it to carry her around, which isn't an excuse. Then they asked if it was ours... if we hadn't bought it ourselves. They didn't take any notes or offer any solution. I don't think that's a proper response, and it's also dangerous for her, the staff, and us that she's in that broken chair. And finally, it was pouring rain, and there were several buckets on the floor collecting the water from the leaks. We appreciate the response, but what we need are solutions. These are people we're dealing with, not furniture.

I'm very happy with the residence. Nuria, the caretaker, and the other person who's always with her are charming and caring toward the grandparents. Sara, the coordinator, is always very happy about everything. Although I've had some disagreements with some at reception due to her rudeness. They seem to resent us talking to them or giving them a hard time. To work with the public, you have to be more pleasant and not take it out on the families. Generally, it's very good, to be honest.

My spermicide is not good, my mother was only hospitalized for 3 weeks and when I was with her I had to change her diaper because it was soaked even after I had called for help to change her they did not come, I had to call the switchboard for help.

Great Diada and Sant Jordi Festival today at AMAVIR VILANOVA. We danced and sang with our grandparents like I haven't seen in a long time!. Beautiful and endearing at the same time! As a resident told me: we do it very well to do it often!! Absolute success!!.... for residents and non-residents. We had a great time! CONGRATULATIONS AMAVIR VILANOVA!!!
