Opiniones

My mother has regained her zest for life. Thanks to Amavir Diagonal, she has regained her enthusiasm for life. She arrived at the center discouraged and unwilling to do anything, but now, thanks to the entire team, she does gymnastics, participates in memory games, and participates in the various activities they organize. She also cares for her classmates, talks to them, tries to help them, and has enthusiastically integrated herself. Older adults need to interact with people their own age, participating in activities that motivate and challenge them. It's also very positive that they can give their opinions and that, when there's something that needs to be improved for the good of everyone, their suggestions are heard and taken into account. This is fundamental. The communication channel with the doctor, the group of nurses, the social worker, and the director is always open to listening and improving, which I think is vital. There will always be areas that need improvement—this happens everywhere—but instead of focusing solely on complaints, let's also propose solutions. If we all work together, the center's team will be able to find the best way to act for the common good. This center is where our family members are, and if they're there, it's because, in many cases, we can't care for them at home as they deserve. Therefore, we want them to be as well as, or even better than, at home. So, with love and responsibility, let's continue working together to achieve this goal.

As a nursing student, I want to thank the center's team for welcoming me during these three weeks of my placement. It has been a very enriching experience. In particular, I want to thank nurse Meritxell for her kindness, patience, and dedication. Her vocation is inspiring, and I have learned a great deal from her. I will take away wonderful memories.

As a nursing student, my experience at the Amavir residence has been incredibly enriching. I am very satisfied with the training I received, especially the quality of the hands-on learning and the dedication of the entire team. My clinical supervisor, Meritxell, was an exceptional guide, always available to answer questions and offer guidance every step of the way. Furthermore, I was deeply impressed by the care and respect shown to the elderly residents. The facilities are excellent, well-equipped, and have a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The residents' well-being is a top priority, which has further motivated me to continue my training in this profession. I am very grateful for the opportunity to have been part of this team and for everything I learned in such a professional and compassionate environment.

I wish to express my dissatisfaction with the service my father received at the Amavir Diagonal residence, particularly regarding the center's management. Throughout our experience, we have observed a lack of efficiency in both the organization and the care provided to my father. In particular, I believe that the management by the director, Reyes, leaves much to be desired. While we expected a personal and professional approach, her manner of communicating with our family has not always been appropriate. This has created a sense of a lack of empathy and interest in resolving the issues that have arisen. It is important to note that, on several occasions, we have had to insist to ensure that my father receives the necessary care, which should not be necessary in a residence that presents itself as specialized. We hope that measures will be taken to improve the organization.

My aunt has been living in this nursing home for several years, and we're quite happy, although there are always areas for improvement. One of them is that when the summer months arrive, staff are understaffed. I think special attention should be paid to this issue and vacancies should be filled so that our seniors receive the best possible care. We need to be more predictable so that the same people, our family members and caregivers, don't always have to suffer the consequences.
