This care home has terrible management. The administration is poor, and the cleanliness leaves much to be desired. My mother has had to go to the hospital five times in just a few months, and each time the emergency room staff told us she arrived dehydrated. This obviously came as a complete surprise to us, since you think you're leaving them in good hands, and apparently that's not the case. Furthermore, many of the facilities are in poor condition and outdated. Many of the staff members are also very unprofessional.

My experience with the Calafell Park Residence is very negative. My mother-in-law and my sister-in-law's mother-in-law live there, and my brother's mother-in-law was also a resident, and the situation is worrying. The elderly residents lack something as basic as water. There are windows in poor condition that let in drafts, to the point that they are forced to put blankets inside to protect themselves from the cold. The staff is clearly insufficient, which directly impacts the care and attention given to the residents, and the cleanliness leaves much to be desired. Furthermore, the instability in management is alarming: the directors don't even last a month. One of them even met with the families to propose necessary improvements, but the owner of the residence disagreed, which speaks volumes about the center's priorities. It's worth noting that this residence has already been closed by the Health Department, which further underscores the seriousness of the situation. In short, I would absolutely not recommend it. The elderly deserve dignified, safe and humane treatment, and unfortunately that is not being fulfilled here.

I am writing this review as a direct relative of an elderly resident at this facility, and I do so with concern and sadness about the current situation. Since the change in management last year, the deterioration in operations has been evident. In just one year, there have been two different directors and several changes in the nursing staff. This instability is clearly reflected in the day-to-day life of the facility. With a few exceptions, we feel that the staff is not sufficiently attentive to the residents' basic needs. We have observed situations such as unclean sinks and, occasionally, a lack of toilet paper. These may seem like minor details, but in a senior care facility, they speak volumes about the care and daily monitoring. We are also concerned about the atmosphere in the common areas. The curtains in the main lounge, where residents spend many hours, are frequently closed, limiting the amount of natural light. Furthermore, throughout the day, there is often no visible water on the tables to facilitate regular hydration for the elderly, something essential for seniors. Another aspect that has noticeably worsened is the reduction in walks and daily activities. These used to be more frequent and contributed not only to the residents' entertainment but also to their emotional and cognitive well-being, especially in cases of Alzheimer's or other neurodegenerative diseases, as is the case with a relative of mine. The lack of this stimulation is palpable. All of this leaves us with a feeling of significant deficiencies in the care and quality of life that the elderly people living here should have. We sincerely hope that this situation will be reviewed and that measures will be taken to genuinely improve the care and daily treatment. As family members, we do not rule out jointly expressing our concerns to the relevant authorities if we do not see clear changes. Our sole objective is that our elderly relatives are cared for with the dignity and quality they deserve.

The care home suffers from poor organization and a clear lack of staff on some shifts, which negatively impacts resident care. Communication with families is limited and unclear, causing concern and insecurity. Furthermore, the facilities require more maintenance and improved cleanliness. While some staff members are friendly, the overall management falls short of what is expected of a facility of this type.
