Opiniones

Great place to stay in Los Arcos as a Pilgrim on the way to Santiago de Compostela! Really cheap, great facilities, fully equipped kitchen, amazing location!

I don't understand the complaints made... Yes, there are only a few plugs to charge your phone, as it is an old building and people back then did not care about charging phones. Use a battery pack which probably everyone carries! Yes, there are a lot of beds / limited space, as there is in every municipal albergue so far. Yes, the bathroom is quite small, but there is another bathroom downstairs! Of you take care of each other: not a problem! The most important thing: everything (including the kitchen) was super clean! The ladies were super nice, they even said goodbye in the morning! You can sit outside! Washing lines (including a lot of pegs) to hang your stinky clothes outside! It's a public albergue, not the Hilton.

It's OK. Enough facilities to sleep. It's clean enough. Kitchen could be bigger. Enough showers . Could use more toilets. Has washer but I didn't notice if it has a dryer altho I didn't wash my clothes there. At night 30+ people crammed in a room with ventilation makes it stuffy and the miasma of smells is imaginable. Wish it has better charging stations spread throughout near the beds. For the price. It's ok.

The cost for a bed is €8 but you are extremely crammed in. No plug sockets and barely any floor space due as there are so many beds so unpacking/packing is difficult. The kitchen is out of use and most of the vending machines were also out of order. The showers were powerful and hot which was nice. Massages are available for between 15-30 euros and we heard good things from the people who had had one. The staff were very helpful as our ponchos had ripped and they offered us some from their left over property. All in all, glad we got a bed but it wasn’t the best experience over all.

Like others mentioned, the people running the facility are unusually uncaring. l have credentials and was speaking to my friends staying there on their front patio, not even inside, and both the hospitaleros came out to tell me to leave. It was pouring rain. They told me it's unusual that l am there, using the wifi, but not staying there. They even said wifi costs money lmao. Albergues letting peregrinos hang out is the norm. These are unusual cruel people and l wonder why they are put in charge.
