I have to say that so far it has been the best choice. My mother was at home with a caregiver, and since she's been there, we've noticed a significant improvement. The staff who work there are absolutely lovely, starting with the social worker who is a sweetheart, and all the other employees as well. My mother has been there for two months now, and we are delighted. We wish we had taken her sooner. We thought about it a lot because we didn't know how she would react, but the experience so far has been very positive. I highly recommend this residence for its environment, the quality of life, and the staff. 👌

Truly, their workers are increasingly ruining my almost nonexistent health, which is why I don't go in person, because of my almost nonexistent mobility. And to help the disabled person, they are preventing him from exercising a constitutional right, along with several of my mother's rights. Every time I call my mother, I run into yet another wall that prevents me from speaking to her. Unless there's a court order, no one has those powers. Neither do I.

The lack of staff affects users, who unfortunately cannot complain about their condition. In 15 days, a person's condition deteriorates to unimaginable levels if the patient is dependent. One nurse for more than 120 users in the summer, and in dependent conditions, cannot cope with all of them. It's lamentable for those in charge of the nursing home. I hope they try to do something for the well-being of the users.

I'm giving this review one star because I can't give it any less. I'm ashamed that in Archena we have a nursing home for our loved ones like the Nuevo Azahar nursing home. I speak from experience because my grandmother recently passed away as a result of Covid, infected at the nursing home. Although they paint a very attractive picture, we've seen it all at this facility: lack of care for the elderly, and even more so now with Covid (my grandmother was left wracked with pain with a skin infection because they wouldn't allow a specialist in to visit her, and to resolve it, they took her to the hospital and then left her locked in her room alone for 15 days in quarantine). The meals are horrible. When we went to visit, all the grandparents complained about how bad the food was. Even my grandmother told us that she was reprimanded when she explained to us the things she saw wrong with the facility. We've complained many times, and the management has resolved the problems late, poorly, and never. Due to the COVID problem, visits were obviously very restricted to family members. But when we were allowed to visit her, I saw with my own eyes how the staff who was with her hugged her in front of me when, due to COVID protocol, we weren't allowed to get closer than 2 meters and with a screen in front of us. These staff are normal, everyday people, who live normal lives: they go shopping at the supermarket, to the hairdresser, meet up with family and friends, go to cafes for breakfast... I think it's a huge lack of responsibility. They should at least keep a safe distance. I hadn't been able to hug my grandmother since February 2020, and she left alone, hospitalized without being able to see her or say goodbye. It's not fair! I don't recommend anyone choose this nursing home to entrust the well-being of their loved ones to.

Since this summer, the staff shortage has become noticeable, leading to neglect of those responsible. They've even stopped administering medication and performing various treatments for this reason. I hope this will be rectified, although I'm not sure if the foundation running the facility cares more about saving money than about the residents themselves.
