La Residencia El Palmeral del Mar Menor recibe evaluaciones muy polarizadas que reflejan una inconsistencia en la calidad de atención: mientras algunos usuarios destacan el excelente trato del personal, las instalaciones amplias con jardín, las actividades variadas y la mejora significativa en la salud de sus familiares, otros reportan preocupantes deficiencias en supervisión, cuidados básicos como la higiene y el control de medicamentos, así como lesiones inexplicadas en los residentes. My whole family is so grateful for the care and attention my mother received until her last day. We had a difficult situation with her at home due to a broken hip and Alzheimer's, and from the moment we moved her into the residence, she gradually improved and seemed much happier. The women don't get their hair done (I mean their hair styled every day, although they do have a separate hairdressing service) as they usually do because, obviously, there are many residents, and although I think they have enough staff, they obviously can't attend to those details. But they are certainly well cared for, and all the staff are incredibly kind and friendly. The center is large, with a big garden so they don't have to be inside all day, and they schedule a lot of activities throughout the year, in addition to various services like hairdressing and individual physiotherapy. 100% recommended!!

At first everything was fine, but there's no supervision. My mother has a bruise on her leg with a wound that only recently healed. One day they tell you she fell, another day they say she hit her head on the bed. Now she has another bruise on her face, right next to her mouth. From what I can see, it's not a residence that meets the needs for care and supervision.

They put my uncle there a few years ago and everything was great, but for some time now (and I don't know if it's because of the manager who makes the good workers leave or because of the director who doesn't really know how the residence runs) my uncle isn't being taken good care of, they don't bathe him properly or control his medication well and he's getting worse, not because of his age anymore but because of the lack of care.

A top-class residence, friendly and pleasant staff, excellent and cordial treatment of seniors, daily activities, top-notch Mediterranean food—what more could you ask for? And in Los Alcázares, the Mar Menor. Highly recommended.
