A residence in a beautiful, clean location with excellent facilities. The staff are incredibly friendly and caring towards the residents. Highly recommended.

The San Juan Bautista Nursing Home, despite its apparent religious affiliation, proved to be a deeply disappointing and disheartening place in my personal experience. My relative, who suffered from Alzheimer's, resided at this institution for a specific period. What we witnessed there left us with a feeling of distress and disrespect. The situation was exacerbated by the restrictions imposed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which limited our connection with our loved one. It is especially disconcerting that a nursing home with a religious name like "San Juan Bautista" failed to demonstrate more deeply rooted values of compassion and kindness in its care for residents. One might expect a religious institution to be at the forefront of empathy and compassionate care. Sadly, what we found was an unbalanced approach, where religious activities, such as masses, seemed to take precedence over creating a warm and welcoming environment for the elderly. While spirituality can provide comfort to older people, it should never replace the holistic care and respect they deserve. Religion should be a pillar supporting the emotional and spiritual well-being of residents, not a mere formality. In the case of this residence, the disconnect between its religious identity and its treatment of residents is a clear indication of its shortcomings. From the outset, we observed a discriminatory and humiliating attitude toward my relative. She was relegated to sitting alone in the dining room, despite her condition. The lack of empathy and consideration from the staff was alarming. The lack of professionalism and skills in caring for the elderly was also evident in every interaction. The practice of moving my relative in a wheelchair while dragging her feet along the floor reflects a lack of sensitivity to the residents' needs. The administrative team, including the social worker and the director, demonstrated an evasion of responsibility instead of taking an active role in improving the residents' quality of life. This tendency to blame lower-level staff exacerbated the situation, as they exhibited increasingly aggressive behavior, to the point that we observed new bruises on their bodies at each encounter. Even telephone communications were discouraging and lacked proper confidentiality. This lack of consideration for the privacy of conversations only intensified the perception of intrusion. One of the most worrying aspects was the inappropriate handling of information regarding the deaths of residents. Instead of seeking transparency and showing consideration for the affected families, there seemed to be a greater interest in safeguarding the reputation of the residence. This dynamic bred distrust and exacerbated the lack of consideration for the elderly and their loved ones. In conclusion, my experience at the San Juan Bautista Nursing Home was profoundly unfavorable. The absence of empathy, professionalism, and respect for the residents and their families is unacceptable. I strongly recommend considering other options before entrusting your loved ones to this care home. The elderly deserve to be treated with dignity and affection at this stage of their lives; unfortunately, this residence failed to meet those expectations.

I'd like to clarify a few things. It's a lie that there's no nurse after 5 PM. I was there during visiting hours until 8 PM And I saw how the nurse treated the residents. Today she was giving out eye drops to everyone who had treatment at 7:30 PM. Regarding the food, it's varied. Whether you like it or not is another matter, and why is it salt-free (which is normal at this age). I don't understand why people lie.
