I know this is going to be a somewhat atypical review, but it's worth it: Three days ago, I visited this residence with my sister, and I was truly sorry that we couldn't admit my mother due to logistical and travel issues, as it made a great impression on me. Starting with the director: kind, dedicated, and transparent. He explained everything to us with crystal clarity and without unnecessary embellishment. At one point, he ran into a resident who expressed his affection for him and told him how much his gait had improved thanks to "that girl" (the joy on his face was evident). The entire place was immaculate, smelled wonderful upon entering, and had a therapeutic light, in my opinion, even skylights in the hallways. Large windows with good insulation. A picturesque rural setting. I was able to peek through doorways and into different rooms to see the great care and patience with which they gave the residents their afternoon snack. I also saw staff members in spotless white walking arm in arm with the elderly residents. There was a pleasant atmosphere among the elderly residents, who seemed well cared for, well-fed, and clean. I was amazed that they respected, as much as possible, each person's usual wake-up time, starting the cleaning with the earliest risers (a thoughtful touch to make them feel at home). This is an unusual detail in this type of facility. There are spacious indoor areas for safe walks, and those who wish to go outside can do so as well, although there isn't a proper garden. They have their own kitchen. The price is reasonable and affordable. I've worked in healthcare with mostly elderly clients for over 20 years, and my intuition rarely fails me. As I said, it's a shame. In any case, I find this residential home worthy of being recommended, and that's why my conscience compels me to write this review.
