My mother was admitted to the care home unable to move from a wheelchair after a terrible fall at home. Within two weeks, thanks to the dedication and effort of the care home staff, she was already able to take short walks. Thanks to the ICU staff, the kindness of everyone at the care home, and the excellent facilities, she was able to begin her recovery. I have nothing but words of gratitude. Thank you!

I love almost all of the staff at this home. The vast majority are dedicated to it. But I'd love to have a conversation with the owners of this home. The supervisor leaves a LOT to be desired; there are so many qualified staff members who deserve that position... I'm sorry.

I'm giving one star because I can't give less. At 68 years old, our father suffered a stroke, causing complete paralysis of his left hemisphere due to a brain tumor. We temporarily admitted him to this nursing home, having been promised that when a spot became available at the Arroyo del Moro nursing home, he would be transferred. Upon admission to the nursing home, he was diagnosed in the rehabilitation area, indicating that he had no core strength, making his mobility extremely important (THIS IS WHAT THE RED CROSS DIAGNOSED). We had already put elastic bands on him beforehand so he wouldn't lean forward in the wheelchair for fear of falling. Our surprise came when they called us that they were on their way to the hospital because he had fallen headfirst from the wheelchair (even though the surgery was so complex for the brain tumor), leaving him alone to assist another resident, knowing the problem with his restraints, resulting in him being hospitalized for three days at the Reina Sofía Hospital. When we went to the nursing home for an explanation, we spoke with the Director and Deputy Director, who told us they couldn't tie or restrain anyone without a signed consent form. The next day, when we returned to visit our father, a staff member told us to buy a harness for his wheelchair so it wouldn't happen again. The next day and subsequent days, he was already wearing the harness (without signing any consent form, I insist, WITHOUT SIGNING ANYTHING), so there was a lack of sincerity and transparency throughout. P.S. While visiting our father on several occasions, we witnessed two residents fall, resulting in their being taken to the hospital by ambulance. We know there are some good professionals at that nursing home, but others are better off doing other jobs. This nursing home is severely understaffed and under-professional. The room facilities are appalling. We deeply regret having admitted our father to this nursing home. I must say that our hopes for recovery, having hired the best possible care and rehabilitation, were in vain, as our father died there a month later. I do not recommend this residence at all and there is no justification for what happened.

After three years of my mother's stay there and filing an official complaint with the Andalusian regional government, I have an obligation to publish this. The worst thing that could have happened to me in my life was putting my mother in Vitalia Alcolea. What I went through with them was an ordeal in every way, but the worst was how I left a list from her GP with all her medications and left the pills there just as they instructed. They wouldn't give her painkillers. She was 82 years old with rheumatoid arthritis. They only cared about calling to get money for her physiotherapy; the rest didn't matter. The doctor never called me when it was time to take her to the emergency room, and of course, the director never showed up. A week after being there, they put her in diapers and treated her with Betadine even though she was sore. It's all shocking. The Andalusian regional government turned a blind eye instead of investigating. Don't leave your family there unless everything has changed 100% by today. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't remember and blame myself for leaving my mother there.
