Opiniones

What I read here doesn't come close to the reality I personally experience from visiting it weekly, and from meeting people who have their families there, who rate it as undoubtedly the best nursing home in Cáceres. I have no doubt that at this nursing home, things are done with the highest professionalism on the market. I know the director personally, and he's an extremely dedicated person who always strives to offer his best, both personally and professionally, alongside the team that works here.

This residence is a 10/10! I had a family member there and the care was excellent! They make you feel right at home... from the very beginning, they help you take the very difficult step of leaving your loved one in a care facility. They made me feel like I was part of that big family.

Dear Director of the Ciudad Jardin Nursing Home in Parque del Príncipe (Cáceres), I am writing to you with great concern and sadness to express my profound disappointment in the care my grandfather received during his stay at your facility. My grandfather entered the nursing home in full possession of his physical faculties, walking without problems, and in just three months, he sadly passed away due to a series of negligence and neglect by the staff. During his stay, we witnessed numerous alarming and concerning situations. First, we realized that he was not provided with the necessary postural changes, resulting in deep ulcers that did not heal properly. These wounds became increasingly severe and painful for my grandfather, which is unacceptable. Furthermore, the lack of attention and care extended to other aspects of his well-being. On repeated occasions, when we visited him, we noticed that he was not wearing his own clothes and was instead provided with generic clothing, as Diana did not label them properly. This not only disrespects his dignity, but also indicates a lack of concern for his individual well-being. Furthermore, we are deeply concerned that he was given medication to keep him sedated and half-asleep, even though he did not require it. This demonstrates negligence in administering medications and a lack of attention to the specific needs of each resident. We also discovered that my grandfather was not receiving sufficient hydration, resulting in a urinary tract infection. Furthermore, the urine bag change was neglected, causing pus to form and increasing the risk of infection. Another serious error was that he was placed on a soft diet for two weeks, even though this was not suitable for his health. This demonstrates a lack of attention and knowledge about the individual dietary needs of residents. As if that were not enough, we also noticed that his dentures were not properly fitted, causing discomfort and difficulty eating and speaking. Furthermore, he was assigned to share a room with a resident who was very ill and unable to communicate, creating an environment that was not conducive to my grandfather's emotional well-being. These situations are unacceptable and demonstrate a clear lack of commitment to the residents' well-being and quality of life. I trusted the nursing home to provide a safe, quality environment for my grandfather, and I am deeply disappointed and distraught by the treatment he received. I hope no resident suffers neglect and abandonment like my grandfather. After this, I only wish for improved quality of care and the well-being of residents at your nursing home. No senior deserves to be treated this way, and it is our responsibility to ensure they are provided with the dignified and respectful care they deserve. Sincerely, A grieving granddaughter

It couldn't have been worse. My father was there for a month, and thank goodness we realized it in time. He's been in another care home for a week now and has improved tremendously, both physically and emotionally, which is a very important thing at his age. We're very happy with the decision we made.
