Good afternoon. I'm giving one star because it wouldn't let me leave it blank. But let it be known that my intention is not to give it any stars, as the management of this residence doesn't deserve it. My mother moved in a year and a half ago, paying out of her own pocket, and while that was the case, everything was wonderful. When she applied for and received assistance from the provincial council, everything changed (she's now a fifth-degree resident) to such an extent that yesterday, September 5, 2024, they informed us that they had notified my 94-year-old mother that she was being moved from the single room she was in (at the time, they were keen for her to occupy this room since she was paying out of pocket and the cost is higher than double rooms) to a shared room, and they made the change immediately. The family was notified after the change had already been made (on September 5, 2024) without giving us (the children) the opportunity to pay the difference between a single and a shared room. We were never informed of this possibility because it wasn't financially advantageous for them. From then on, management has been telling us lie after lie. 1. They told my mother that she had been informed and that she agreed (my mother wants to request a change of residence from the provincial council). 2. They said that the new woman moving into the room my mother occupied would only be there for three months (this woman's son informed me that her stay is indefinite). 3. They asked me to call them today, Friday, to find out about the price difference between a single and a shared room, and today, in addition to not informing me, they answered my call in a bad mood and with rudeness. The problem is that this new resident who arrived yesterday could only be admitted if she had a single room. So, if they gave us the option to cover the difference in price between a double and a single room, they wouldn't be able to fill the double room. Faced with this financial loss, they didn't inform us of this possibility, accepting this new resident as is and moving my mother to a shared room, without the option of staying in the room she was in before, the reason she entered this residence in the first place. If I ever needed a residence for a loved one again, I wouldn't hesitate to rule this one out. They see the elderly (our family members) as numbers, without considering their wishes and needs.

Thank you for caring for my mother, Maria. During these four years, she's felt like family, like her home, and she's been happy with you. For my part, thank you for your work. A heartfelt hug.
