Opiniones

The most important thing about a nursing home is the staff, and our family appreciates the wonderful treatment my mother has received from them—the love, care, and so much more. I can only express my gratitude for the wonderful treatment we've received. Thank you all so much.

I haven't been working there long, but I really like it. Despite being a large place, it has a very family-oriented feel; they prioritize the care of the elderly, and my colleagues, in this case on the afternoon shift, are very nice. 😊

This care home is a disgrace. You pay over two thousand euros a month for the elderly residents to be supervised, especially those who can't care for themselves. Those who can still do everything on their own are fine, but as for those who need 24-hour care, they move them to a different floor saying they're being watched around the clock, and when you go there, you don't see a single nurse on the entire floor. They're half-dressed, sometimes even just in a short-sleeved t-shirt in the middle of winter, their nails are cut very infrequently, the room is filthy, and worst of all, some of the bed frames are broken, so the elderly person could fall. If they need rehabilitation for an injury, they don't even provide it. They can easily go weeks without doing anything, using the excuse that they can't move, when what they should be trying to do is get them moving. Furthermore, sometimes—not always—they don't even call to inform you that your relative's condition isn't good; they wait for you to go, and if you even manage to see them. The worst part is that when you tell the nurses all this and confront them, all they say is that they don't see it that way and that you should file a complaint, which they'll just ignore. I find it appalling that their response is like that; it's obvious they don't see their own family members half-naked in a filthy room. To make matters worse, the manager takes countless weeks of vacation, which is perfectly within her rights, but it's not normal for her to take a vacation and then, a month later, be back on duty when they're short-staffed. It's shameful. It's a disgrace to pay for all this only for it to end with a simple "I'm sorry."

The care they provide for the elderly is depressing. The way they dress them. They're always short on warm clothes, and people who can't move are left sitting there feeling cold, like objects. The lack of staff means they can't be there for everyone.
